Ive heard Prince claim he's celibate. Whos buying that? If he is obstaining from premarital sex, is it religious reasons, or is he impotent? I personally beieve its lies. The guy is way too sexual and keeps himself around sexy women all the time. Even his first "big" album (musicology) after his religious conversion contained oral sex lyrics. "I want to go down south"....
And the list goes on from there. Any opinions?

He says he's celibate and saving himself for his wife. I find that admirable and says alot about his willpower .. and character.

While it's wonderful if he IS waiting for his next wife, I seriously doubt it. I dont think he's impotent tho. When I ask this question, people say 'Why would he lie?' Publicity maybe? For a man whose whole career has been heavily sexual to suddenly say he's celibate is pretty intreguing.

Why wouldn't I believe him, Prince has been around willing all of his life, since he's been divorced and don't forget he will be 51 yrs.old this year, it probably doesn't excite him like it use to, if at all. Plus his religious convictions. YES I know he could very well be celibate.

I don't see why it's a big deal. He's a jehovah's witness and they don't allow pre-marital sex, so end of story.

Bleh, it's usually the celibate ones on religious grounds who get married in haste JUST to have sex and then get a divorce like they're canceling their phone service, never minding how many marriages they clock up under their belts before even reaching middle age, which to me looks far worse than sleeping with a handful of people before marriage.

I think younger people do think 50 is old. When I was 20 I never thought I'd be 48! My "almost" 15 yr old is always making reference to my age. "Aren't you near your expiration date" and so on. I believe that Prince is celibate. I'm not so sure if his imagination is. It's hard to put it out of your mind, yet I believe that Prince wants to save himself for the love he will share the rest of his life with.

You want to speculate and form baseless conclusions on matters that don't concern you? Well, here's an idea - get off this site and just show up at the record store periodically. If you see a new Prince CD, buy it if you want to.

If not, then be happy with the music he's already given you.
