Heck yeah! you, shouldve heard the 12inch extended version with the extra lyric:

"I dont care where you from, Mississippi, or Lousiana, girl when I'm done with you, they'll mistake you for Rhianna, GOTTA turn me LOOSE!!"
-Dolphinking23

Thank you, that's what I'm talking about! Would anybody want to hear a man saying this to their MOTHER or SISTER? Thanks Dolpinding23. smile

I love Prince but the song reeks of sexual violence.

rough wild sex is not sexual violence.

I can't tell if you're kidding or not, but if you really want to know, I've been a fan of his music since '83 and, like no other artist on the planet, he has blown me away musically-live and on record- so many times that I choose not to be negative about his music-even when I don't like a song or video or whatever. I can be constructive or critical, but I would never put him down for doing it. Far too often the negativity here is a fucking drag and I had to weed it out if I wanted to enjoy coming here and bond with other fans of his music.

i wanted to know if it's really the negativity you object to, or just negativity against prince. i just think it's weird. i understand being defensive about him, but you have to draw the line somewhere with this stuff. a lot of people who hold negative opinions have direct negative experience with him (or his lawyers). not everyone with a chip on their shoulder is imagining things.

further to that, the fans with no direct contact with prince are just as entitled to their opinions as you are. i'm wondering why you find it acceptable to express negativity towards them but not prince. why is prince more important than another human being?

love is supposed to be unconditional, right? if these prince fans are doing something that warrants negativity from you, i can just as easily see how prince could also do something that warrants negativity from them. it doesn't make sense to me that some individuals are more equal than others.

so, if negativity is wrong, in and of itself...

very well put clapping but i'll bet that those that call others that voice their displeasure about any of his music haters would strongly object if they r called kool aid drinker, sheep, fanatics etc ..it seems 4 everyone that wants 2 point out that there has been a surge of "negativity" or "haters" don't realize that people on the PPML/Org have voiced their dislike 4 years and there is nothing wrong with that. his music is like films, some u love some u don't like as much and i wonder 4 those that voice thier opinions on other forms of art, r they labeled as haters and negative critics.

sometimes around here i wonder if this place is supposed 2 b some type of flower child place full of hippies, love peace and sunflower seeds
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

well, at the very least, complaining about negativity perpetuates the very problem it sets out to correct.

what is there 2 correct? everyone is entitled 2 xpress how they feel about anything in prince's career, the good and the bad. if the only way 2 stop "negativity" then ur talking about censorship which isn't fair 2 anyone..that's what the npgmc was 4 big grin
