"When Doves Cry" the other day. (NYC radio)

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

The last i heard was prolly Little REd Corvette. But often hear WDC, 1999, Purple Rain, Kiss, Black S., and have heard guitar recently. i believe the dj at 101.9 fm new orleans is a prince fan. cool
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

in the uk, BBC Radio 1 very rarely plays P, but BBC Radio 2 does, with Prince tracks played all the time. as well as the usual tracks, the other night janice long played "i could never take the place of your man", and the other week stuart maconie played the 7 minute + version of "gett off" in an afternoon show, which was pleasant surprise !

I was listening to the Reggie request show on Radio 1 yesterday, and a 14 year old girl phoned up to request Raspberry Beret.

According to the texts he read out, a 15 year old girl said it was her favourite song as well.

Good to see a few younger Prince fans over here in the UK. Up in Glasgow I sometimes feel like the only one.....
So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

I listen to Triple J in Australia and every Friday morning they have a musician choose 5 songs with a theme.

Prince features many times and last Friday one of the guys from Of Montreal was on and his theme was 'Songs with Great Characters'. He chose one of the funkiest 5 songs ever featured in this segment and right in the middle was 'The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker'!

Might have been the 1st time on radio around the world and almost definitely the 1st time in Australia.

You can listen to the segment online now at this page: http://www.abc.net.au/tri...506772.htm

The list of songs was:

1. Sly & the Family Stone - Family Affair
2. Curtis Mayfield - Move On Up
3. Prince - Ballad of Dorothy Parker
4. Zapp - More Bounce to the Ounce
5. Stevie Wonder - Boogie on Reggae Woman

I actually heard that on the radio for the first time last week as well. It was on The Michael Baisden Show. He was talkeed briefly about Prince's deal with Target and congratulated him.
