This is slanderous and pure bait. I doubt a mod will do anything but chuckle but to align people on a message board with a murderer is below the usual vile spew that comes out here when someone gives an opinion against Prince.

I really dont give a fuck what a mod thinks. I am worried about Prince's welfare with people like you and your ilk here. You ARE dangerous. So is the other person I mentioned who had threatened Prince previously. And the ever present BVH. You guys are over the edge. Its not safe for Prince. Which is why on that post about 'should there be another celebration" I repsonded "no."

Not in this atmosphere of fan such as you and others. It doesnt take much for one of you to snap for being "upset" with how Prince does his business and such. That's why Chapman did what he did. He felt Lennon had changed and was a phony. You guys are acting just like him.

My claim is legitimate. The net is available for all your kind to post.

Im glad for it.

It exposes you.

The kink showing is you blowing up crying "stop this slander! Stop accusing! This is vile! How dare you..." lmao.

Claiming someone who gives an opinion is dangerous and akin to a murderer is the textbook definition of slander and yes, that I will call out. I'm hardly putting my hands in front of my face and unable to respond to your juvenile psych 101 analysis, however. What's more, if you are somehow assimilating criticism of Prince with that of you or anyone else, then look to disc 2 of the Dark Knight, maybe there's something there about false projections.

Its thrown back at you and you act indignant. It just shows how cowardly some of you chapmans/daryl hannah's are. You can talk and talk about somebody that you dont know for ages unobjectively and call folks out of their name who enjoy Prince. But when your behavior is discussed then you get mad.

Boy..some peoples children.

lol

Well now I know that in the purple world 'cowardly' is defined as one who sticks up and rebuts false, over the top statements made by the local, like-minded herd.

There's more than a whiff or irony here. Prince, who once was a symbol of freedom and individual expression has transformed into a curmudgeonly cantankerous avuncular figure who's mind has been colonized and apparently many of his fans have followed suit. Think like us. Act like us. Be like us. And if you aren't, or dare to criticize Dear Leader, we'll say the most preposterous, slanderous things about you until you submit.
No hard feelings.

Yes, so dangerous (I mean look at that: bold and caps) with opinions on popular music. The horror! Run for the hills! Before you know it, they'll be telling you what they think about cinema and sculpture as well!

So is the other person I mentioned who had threatened Prince previously. And the ever present BVH. You guys are over the edge.

Good thing we've got your little gestapo here to sniff out the rats.

Its not safe for Prince. Which is why on that post about 'should there be another celebration" I repsonded "no."

I agree with you, he shouldn't have another celebration. Not only because he's running out of covers to play but if he can't even pull in a thousand people for a performance, it might be time to consider taking a break.

Not in this atmosphere of fan such as you and others. It doesnt take much for one of you to snap for being "upset" with how Prince does his business and such. That's why Chapman did what he did. He felt Lennon had changed and was a phony. You guys are acting just like him.

I don't think you're using enough hyperbole here. Why not also call me a rapist? How about a genocidal maniac? You speak in broad smears, just go for it and call me Hitler while you're at it.

You people (yes I said you people) jacked my thread. What is this THE GREAT DEBATERS?

Fuck where are the harvard grads? confused

So in in response here is my economic once cent worth.

Its juvenile to call someone a security issue of they have a differing opinion. Have you not seen the crazies up on this board talking about having his baby? The stalkers vehemently defending protegees that noone knows?

I had a disagreement on another thread with Shango. We took it to PM I explained my positioning and he/she was super respectful of not only my opinion, but the way we handled our very OPPOSITE opinions. He/she is one of the reasons I decided to stick around a bit longer.

But if Wall, Viewaskew, Londonstyle dont agree, doesnt make them non fans.. it means the way they view Princes art has affected them differently and they are entitled to that.

Can they critique Princes business practices, hell yes! Especially when we all collectively know Prince could knock the socks, hose and knickers off of the Madonnas, Justins and Beyonces.

He is just stubborn or whatever and he has to live with his mistakes and so do we. I can complain, that doesnt make me a "hater". Its my opinion. And based on this weekend and information given to me, its pretty much a fact of putting this together was shit.

THE SHOW HOWEVER WAS NOT. It was awesome and I wish I couldve been there. Im not bitter anymore, but I was, and I feel I had that right, my opinion to be expressed because the club knew of the show a week in advance and Prince PR or people didnt do any advertising until the DAY OF. Except for the "hints" on lotusflower.

It doesnt mean I am less of a fan or that I cant have a Prince collection or whatrever. I dont like Bria from what Ive heard. She's stale and as someone else she's Chante Moore Lite. I want to hear Chante Moore I'll go buy her album. HOWEVER, if this becomes a 3 package cd deal and I'm forced to buy her album so I can get the other two.. I might have to do it. barf But it doesnt mean I'll have to like it.

I can see a million dollar artwork and think: I could do that, that looks like a five year old did it. My opinion doesnt affect the value of the art or the appreciate the owner has for it. If they paid that much money they dont give a fuck what other people think. But you're not going to see them calling security and saying what a hater! lol

Its juvenile. And the fam thing, thats ridiculous too. If someone loves Prince and thinks they can do no wrong you cant just say they are drinking the purple cool aid. Maybe they really think that Prince is the cats meow and he will always be a rock GOD to them.

I think that anyone that believes that someone is pitch perfect needs a reality check, but guess what? Thats my opinion.

FAM AND HATER are two fucking elementary school words that keep people from having intelligent conversation on these boards. We can have differing opinions without insulting each other. And if you refrained from using those words you could fill them with vocabulary that actually expresses positioning and rationale.

And sometimes shit just rubs you the wrong or right way, and thats okay too.

I hated Britney's womanizer song and guess what? That piece of shit grew on me and now I like it. Now Im a Britfam, right?

Get it together people, while I jump off my soabox and on that note: lock

What was said isn't anything new. I was talking about specfiically factual evidence of those who may have went over the edge (never denied interestingly enough) and others who may be ones to watch out for. My statements still stand.

If you dont think there aren't people here who would do harm to Prince then you are quite naive. Evian is naive spelled backwards btw (Reality Bites).

And to be fair: yes, some of the so called "asskissers" are kind of scary too. But thats what happened. The people who are naysayers or haters (those who criticize with no objectivity) ae formwer asskissers who have felt personally slighted by Prince.

So yes, there is a danger.

I agree with you. Those who give a negative opinion are not dangerous. They're just giving there opinion. But some people here are so extreme in either both positive and negative statements - those are the ones who are scary. I'm not sure which side is worse though.

There should be respect for all views AS WELL as Prince. And people who are okay with his music or website or what have you should not be called kool-aid drinkers, asskisses or any other deragatory names.

The Kool -aid drinking moniker stems from that Jonestown cult suicide incident and to use that as a description of some who enjoy Princes music, concerts, and websites is a slight of digusting proportions if you really think about it. Not to mention "asskisser" sugesting a lack of ones own sense of self as an insult.

I rarely see anyone who is a proponent for Prince's music and output calling those opposed names. I wholehearedly believe it is one sided. It is obvious to anyone who clicks on forums.

But anyways, there are only 8-12 people who partake in such behavior anyways. Its just that they post a lot. Their names are know/listed and I believe they relish in such infamy. But we all should be careful of them imo.

Here's to respect in 2009, but with a tour coming up and the new website, I doubt it will come to fruition

I hope you'll keep the org updated with the 'ones to watch out for' list. I think there might be some communists on the board, too. Get a 'Red list' going while you're at it Sherlock.

How exactly are you determining the first sentence? I'd love to hear more. Are the voices of Ethan Hawke and Heath Ledger's Joker whispering psychological sloothing tips in your ear?

The danger comes from your brand of passive-aggressive bullying. What we have here is smear mongering 101. Make vague and vile accusations, sprinkle in a touch of assertion by playing the part of under-educated, pseudo-expert, even condescend to those who don't agree with your analysis ('you'd have to be naive not think like I do) all in hopes of stifling or debasing voices which aren't parroting your own thoughts back at you. It's laughable and pathetic. Someone doesn't agree with you? Cry and whine like an infant and hope to get the gang mentality rolling that they're 'dangerous.'

Here's a tip: try and refute arguments with facts and logic instead of chicken yellow smears. Good luck with that.

I couldn't agree with you more. People don't want to be called Haters for being negative but people don't want to be called Kool-Aid Drinkers for being positive either. I can only imagine the number of people reading these discussions and not wanting to post because they're afraid of being labelled. No one should be labelled anything other than being a fan, even though it's odd talking to someone here who says on their profile that they're not a fan and they are on said person's fansite having a lot to say on that person but as long as they respect me, then I'll respect them. Maybe it's easier said than done. shrug

Im called Sherlock, a communist (degrading other ideologies while he is at it), and insulted by suggestions of an avatar.

To explain: I have no issue with people who have dissenting opinions. I have never stated that. But I am wary of those who discuss things with such venom an no objectivity, with a fervor that it borders on obession and anger. Not a good match up. And those who have a history of stalking and such doing so is even more worrisome.

For a popular artist to cause such rage in a person or people is not a good sign.Well, actually it is a sign. A "warning sign."

Yeah, but let's call those who don't agree with Prince potential murderers that the kind of 'respect' you're talking about there Freud? And poor Prince. Here he is an artist putting out statements and people are daring to comment on it. Gee, that's never been done in the history of the arts, has it?

If you can't handle a light barb of fam or hater than your skin is too thin for the org. End of discussion. Getting called a moron or anything personal or nasty I'll agree isn't called for.

Yeah, big lol. You make baseless, vile accusations and someone has the audacity to call you on it. What, did you think you could just come in here and roll out a string of absurd bullshit and not get called on it?

To explain: I have an issue with people who have dissenting opinions.

'Be careful" (c) Sparkle

Who on earth has a history of stalking? I've never seen such a string of continual, fear-mongering smears.

You should really run for office. You've got the debase your opponent thing down pat.
No hard feelings.

I have already explained that someone in this thread had a history of stalking and was reoported to the authorities. And not just stalking the pop star.

I do not need to debase anyone. The posts of the past few weeks speak for themselves and you are doing a fine job of doing it to yourself as well.

I'm so sick of the way athletes, movie stars and singers are treated in this country.Over paid and spoiled douches! join the rest of us here in the real world

Yeah, I've never understood why entertainers (especially pro athletes) are regarded higher than humans that are actually needed for living (i.e. miners, lumberjacks, factory workers, physicians, etc). confused

Right. That's why I am not interested in any celebrity-laden Prince event. The attitudes that some of these people have are unconscienable. At the end of the day, they have jobs like the rest of us. The fact that you entertain for a living does not make you any more important than anyone else. The world will continue without entertainers (it many not be as enjoyable but it will continue). However, get rid of the teachers, doctors, nurses, garbage men, miners, postal workers/delivery folks, factory workers, scientists, engineers, etc. and we have a problem.

What really irks me is when these folks expect to get free entry and service whereever they go. For what? Acting? Singing? Dunking a basketball? Please, folks are out here saving lives and they walk across streets and pay admission fees. We are in a recession/depression? How does freeloading help the economy? These folks wanted to go to Prince's house or some other Oscar party and eat, drink and be entertained for free. However, the regular folks were the ones shelling out their hard-earned coins for entry and drinks. I would rather ask those people if it was a disaster.

Sorry for the rant. I just had to blow off some steam. biggrin

'You do not need to debase anyone'... give me a break! You said 'we' were akin to the man who murdered John Lennon because we're 'too harsh' on Prince. As if 'we' are all getting together to match up our opinions. I don't discuss, org note, or email any other 'haters.' My opinions are mine and mine alone. And the vilest thing I've ever done was steal a pack of chewing gum when I was eleven. So when you start slinging vile bullshit my way, then buckle up sunshine, because I'm not gonna sit in the corner and cower while you smear my name with your pop psychology 101. I'm genuinely surprised more orgers aren't offended by this bullshit no matter what fictional camp you're a part of.

And you can keep your Prince-bonics and put it with your six copies of Musicology.
No hard feelings.

Who knows but I wish we could all just be respectful when it comes to differing views on things. No one should be insulted for having the views that they have on either. This goes for me as well as everyone in here. I hope we can have civil conversations in here again.

And you sure are familiar with the org for someone who joined this month. How does that work? You mention how critical we've been to 'websites' aka Funkenberry and Prince... Gee, wouldn't be a stretch to think you're from the home base and here to try and stifle criticism through your bullshit fear mongering would it? Or maybe your paranoia is just rubbing off on me.
No hard feelings.

Im not stifling anything. I already explained my stance a few posts above where I said I have no issue with crticism. Because parts of NPS sucked and more still. I do have issues and am worried about how some of you come across. Simple as that. I mean I can kind of 'feel' your anger through these posts between you and I. I bet you want to slap me in the face with my titty don't you?

Me? Home base? Yes, you are being a bit paranoid (but rightfully so given the situation). But no home base here.

Explanation: long time lurker, short time orger smile

I've wished you heaven Wall and do so again smile

Damn straight you're not stifling anything because that shit won't fly around here. As far as your laughable assumptions, get over yourself. And may the horde of fammers drop in here to quote that line back at me. You can 'feel my anger.' Give me a break. What are you Emperor Palpatine? You've got a lot of violent projections you drop on others, don't you? People want to slap you if they disagree with you, people are like the man who murdered John Lennon if they criticize Prince. Get over it. This isn't the neolithic era and a good many of us are able to have a spirited discussion without taking up arms.
No hard feelings.

And it just seems like you sling slander and conjecture with the ease of a paranoid dictator. Like I said, if you thought you could group everyone on the org who doesn't line up with what your accepted level of fandom with the man who murdered John Lennon and not get called on your bullshit then you're the one teetering near the edge.

And no, I'm not going to agree to disagree with you or any other platitude you want to toss out. I can agree to disagree with everyone on here who thinks Chocolate Box is the second coming of Strange Relationship, but not with someone who makes vile and baseless smears.

Yeah you 'wished me heaven' after pushing any number of derogatory statements my way. Don't try and take the high road after you've been snickering and sniveling in the gutter with your bullshit.
