Bernie Mac-Prince connection

On The Hits there is a song called The Pope. In the beginning there is a comedian I believe Bernie Mac. In the into he says"You don't understand, I aint scared of you muthafuckas. KICK ASS!!!". Why did P do that?

Maybe because he thought Bernie was funny shrug

Because Def Comedy Jam was really big and new at the time. Princ eha salways been a fan of comedians.

In that Roadhouse rehearsal when he is doing Erotic City you can hear him say "cuzz ya know what it is" copying Eddie Murphys "Delerious" drunken father.

My sister worked as Russell Simmons' assistant at Rush Communications at that time. She was also responsible for putting the show together. I recall vividly Prince's assistant Terese Stoli (i think that was her last name) calling my sister because Prince wanted tapes of the show he could watch while on tour. She complied and Prince sent her a note with a rough draft of the Sexy MF video. He wrote thanks lisa, keep shaking your ass, Prince. They even gave us tickets to the ACT Tour at Radio City. We sat next to Whitney, Bobby and Madonna.

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I thought it's been established and confirmed that Prince is incapable of producing Hip Hop. disbelief
