I honestly do not see what is so great about Prince doing covers.
I mean, does he not have enough faith in his own tunes to throw
a party or show? Even his version of "Crazy" by Gnarles, etc did
not really impress me. It was almost as if he said to himself,
"well, if I can't get a hit in, then let me use some one elses."
just my thoughts though.

I think its just a case he wants to appeal to a younger / newer crowd ...people who may not have any Prince CD's except Purple Rain wink or only no the words to big hits like The Beatles and Rolling Stones ... eek

i'm starting 2 wonder if he doesn't have faith in either his new material or the band 2 pull these off live
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Depending how technical you get 12 out of 17 songs was Covers! Including the 2 Time and Sheila E, and I Feel For You if you go by who origianlly performed those songs even though P wrote them. Or 12 out of 16 because he just did the intro to Purple Rain.

eek eek eek
