Mutiny Footage

I may be clutching at straws here, but can anyone recall captured live footage of Prince jamming to this song and doing a crazy dance. If so what show was it again, cos it will confirm to me if its something a actually saw or dreamed about, cheerz.

He played it during the Parade tour. Maybe you have seen the Detroit birthday concert. (yellow suit, crazy dance)

Could be, although i have a feeling it was a tight fitting black number he was sporting with his trademark swinging symbol necklace.

I'm quite certain you're recalling the birthday show. The necklace would be his tie swinging. wink

However if you track down another mutiny live version, let me know!!! Mutiny is probably my fave song and that June 7th performance is sacred!

You might be recalling the UTCM premiere from Wyoming. Prince did a short set that included an awesome version of Mutiny. It is my favorite performance of the song.

I think the footage you have seen is from about around the turn of the millennium. Was it one of the hit and run shows? I think it is the opening of the show, Controversy leading into Mutiny. His dancing girl (Geneva?) is behind a newspaper.

That concert dvd kicks ass. When he comes out in that yellow suit and "Controversy" starts, it's on.

Yup. Prince playing organ, doing weird dances, Eric Leeds on sax ("Eric shut the fuck up"), the whole Revolution standing in a line cool

^ Yep

If, as the OP states, Prince was dressed in black, it's most likely to be the video footage of the HiT 'N Run performance from 2000 (San Jose) which was made available through the official website in 2001.

Didn't he perform that song at the premiere of UTCM in Wyoming? If I am not mistaken. So I think that someone else already answered that.
