Prince and The Original Time tour 2009 - It needs to happen (a must read) Plain and simple...it needs to happen. The original Time as we all know is dropping a new album this year and so is Prince. I think the timing is good and long overdue for the legends to put together something and take it on the road. It'll give The Time a good reason to actually tour seeing that a full fledged Time tour might not happen due to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis's status as being in demand/on call producers. The Vegas stint for them was sort of a one-off, but this tour with Prince would set it off and give every last original member of The Time a good reason to make whatever sacrifices needed to be made to commit themselves to giving us a full fledged Time tour w/Prince. I know I know....far fetched idea, right? To me though it's a no-brainer because of the timing and the fact that all of these cats are for the most part are a unit. Prince being the brainchild of The Time and the fact that they have a musical relationship that dates back way before the success makes it such an important thing. Prince to me is like "the 5th Beatle". Or better yet, like a superhero team such as the X-MEN or the JUSICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA where as everyone is a bad ass but of course out of the team you have the one major bad ass that's the most powerful (Prince would be either Superman or Magneto...). They're all in their 50's and doing the music independently and I feel like they've matured and been humbled enough to actually be able to pull something like this off. For any real die hard Prince/Time heads - this should be a dream come true. Just wanted to put this out there...

Think about it I also think that when Prince tours that the Time will be in the mix.....and don't forget, Wendy and Lisa are suppose to drop their CD in March as well. [Edited 2/22/09 14:37pm] That doesn't make sense, Prince has had the Time perform at Paisley Park and has Morris & Jerome on stage in recent years Don't think it was a coincedence that the (Time) Morris & Jerome started out the Coechella show with Prince with Prince playing the guitar solo for them and then Sheila hitting the Glamorous Life He continues to have good things to say about the Time after their original Time member bands played the Grammy's, which lead to them getting back to doing an album. Its been discussed already it WONT work with him touring with the Revolution again former members have refused to do another tour with him, them doing a show once in a while they dont mind. But no tour will happen. IMHO I dont want another Prince and the Revolution tour.

I was just having a conversation What's with the attacking cursing and attitude??? You said it wasn't going to happen (because your in Prince's inner camp and know all that's going on?) If not I was just rolling out the possibility The People that say they are fans of Prince and his music legacy proteges etc etc trip me out when they can't even have a friendly conversation. I'm a fan of Prince period I enjoy talking about this side of my life, sorry for offending U And it still was Prince(not me) that said "This is how the PR tour was supposed to be" Meaning having the time open up or touring with them... So there is always a possibility of a tour or some selected shows.
