How many times can you recall Prince contradicting himslef? Example... "I feel totally divorced from Prince"..."Prince is Dead"
I can think of a few more, but I wanted to let you guys name some more...

[talking about the Gold Experience]: I may even give it away--music should be free anyway.
Only to sue his fans for every manner of thing related to his music or image--even the mere discussion of his material can land you in hot water. Error Message:

Good one! I actually forgot about that!

He's allowed to change his mind... sheesh!

Yea, but its just fun to look back and see how hes flip flopped on his statements. And heres one thats not "changing his mind" but a straight up contradiction.. In the 80's he claimed a mixed race, such as his dad being black and italian, his mom being white and something else....now for the past 10 years he only calls himself a black man. I laughed my ass of when Prince was at Larry King to promote his "Rave un2 the year 2000" special on some pay-tv channel. The concert was later released on DVD as you all know.
As usual he talked about the evil record companies and that he didn't like CONtracts. You all remember this ridiculously stupid worplay, right ? And then Larry King asked him if he didn't have a CONtract with that pay-tv company. The look on Prince's face was priceless. [Edited 2/21/09 9:26am]

One of my all time favorite contradictions is one he's kinda actually made more than once... The first time said he would never perform any music by "Prince"... then When he said the Musicology tour would be the last time he would perform his hits.

May and Will (give it away free) are all together different. Here we go again with the sueing..he did not sue his fans. Also any discussion of his material is permitted the last time i checked. When people start posting his (private) ha!! life, rumors & lies, then the problem begins. [Edited 2/21/09 12:12pm] Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

As far as speculating on his life and fake 'rumors' causing problems, one need look no further than the current $ rumor and see he's contradicting himself. Error Message:

after The Purple Rain tour I think he said he was retiring from touring so I guess every single show since then was a contradiction To Sir, with Love

Saying "No more swearing" and then releasing "New Power Soul" which features lyrics such as "The answer to the question of life is a grey haired BITCH at least" and "What you need is some good lovin...'stead o' these young ASS fools."
Then a couple of years later making his decision not to cuss official & releasing another song that blatantly commands his woman to "Put yo ASS down here on this throne." Then after that, releasing "Sadomachoistic Groove" with the lyrics, "Comin wit da SHIT...." and "The charts don't mean a DAMN when U free." OK so he went back & edited that out....as we all know, now he doesn't cuss anymore....or so it seems.

Prince, like everybody else is allowed to change his mind and Sheila E and a lot of people around him says that he changes his mind on a dime, and it angers them all the time. But hey he's the boss. So don't listen to rumor around here, only believe it when you see it. [Edited 2/22/09 4:18am]

[Edited 2/22/09 4:18am] I can't even count the amount of times I've contradicted myself throughout my few yrs on this earth! It's all a part of growing...mentally. I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

Again..its just fun to look back and recall them all. I change my mind alot to, but MILLIONS of people dont know about it..so its a little funnier to look back and see how many times Prince has done it...

Sadomachoistic Groove was recorded in 1997, he stopped swearing around december 1997.

If it's not then why do they bleep it out in rap songs at times?
Better question, why was it reveresed in the radio version of "Gett Off"? [Edited 2/22/09 15:47pm]

Every once in awhile I feel I know I hafta tighten up my finances and save more and to take care of what I have and not try to acquire new things but to pay more attention to what I do have.
But most of the time I'm not disciplined enough to do what I know is right to me and fall behind on my goals. Kudos to P for paying attention to each and every piece of his gifted works. Let's root for it to not last too long! We need mo new music in this day and age!
