Boring i know, but great for me. At one of the Indigo2 aftershows I went to on a quiet Tuesday, I was facing the stage watching the NPG in full flow. I turned around and P was standing right behind checking out hid band. We only exchanged hellos and smiles, but it was cool seeing him in the crowd so close. Within a minute, he was back on. I saw 18 of the 21 aftershows and managed to be at the right place that night.

I have a vague souvenir, well I’m not really sure about this; I would love to meet Prince and ask him if he was in Montreal (Canada) 2005 or 2006 in the summer time?

Let me explain, during my lunch break at work (around 1h) I was always going for a little walk, I remember that it was middle or the end of the summer. I was walking on (McGill College or University) crossing St-Catherine.

What capture my attention was the hat of a man, so I looked more carefully to this person (you must have experience this before, you know… when you look at someone and it get the other person attention) so he turn his head and look at me… maybe he smile or smirk I'm not sure (I thought that he look kind of nervous) and I took a long look at him or should I say, I stare at him and notice that this man was wearing a gray or silver outfit (i remember thinking that he most be sweating... it was a warm day) Even look at him straight in the eye loll

Then thought that this man looked like Prince and said to my self (wow! he walk with no bodyguards?! Well I guess he is playing invisible... he would not appreciate me stopping him in the middle of the street of down town Montreal and get all the attention just because I would to tell him how much I adore his music) so… I didn’t.

This happened in a few seconds and I felt strange like if it was unrealistic.

I always ask my self if that was my imagination or it was really Prince having a little walk in down town Montreal.The only reason that it could be possible to my logic it’s because he might been walking in the direction of Music Plus.

I guess I will never know!

I just share my experience, although I don’t know if it as something to do with fate? Or circumstance…maybe… but that would be another subject to discuss…

Well I am not sure about calling it fate per say, at times it can be much deeper than that. The last time I think I saw Prince let me see it was just before Musicology came out, I was in MPLS for my friend's wedding, I had stopped paying attention to anything about Prince, for many years before this happened, so I had no idea what he looked like.

Anyway I went to this bar (forgot the name been to many years),in downtown MPLS that night, my friends had been sitting around the bar with me, and the bartenders kept giving me free drinks, and hitting on me. So I was getting really buzzed, my friends at one point had said they were going to the bathroom and they would be right back so.... I of course got stuck with the bar tenders (lucky me), I kept cool, and just acted polite (while slamming ice water) trying to come down off of my buzz.

I remember talking with a couple of the bartenders and was not really paying attention to the dance floor across the way,because they were playing music I was not really interested in, I was not in the mood to dance...But for some reason I did look towards the dance floor once, I could have swore I saw a silouette sitting on the stage, very petite and who ever it was had what looked like a afro going on... I could not be sure about it because I was still a little buzzed so I payed not attention at first but each time I kept looking at the stage, there they were just sitting there. I thought how odd, why is this person the only one not dancing hmmmm. Then it hit me, could this be Prince???

I kept figting the thought thinking it could not be, how could it be that I have been away from MPLS for 5 plus years now, and I come back after all of these years, and there is Prince just like that across the room from me?..

Finally my friends came back to the bar, and I told my friend who is also a Prince fan, that I thought I saw him accross the room but could not be sure, then she asked me what he looked like, I said "it's dark in here, I cannot tell you for sure, all I know is he is small, and looks like he has mini afro" she stared to laugh, then she pointed out his D.J., and said it probably was Prince because she said the D.J. usually always travels with Prince around town...

Who knows if it was really him or not, but it was exciting at the time, I had alot of fun.

When he did the lovesexy tour at Wembley arena, I had tickets to all but one night. Anyways, a few of us without tickets hung around outside listening to the gig...still awesome:). The same night the Rolling Stones were playing the Stadium, us with our Prince t shirts(back in the day when they were still worn to gigs!!)receving very strange looks, comments and the like from the Stones fans...I know -go figure huh?
Anyway, before the show, I'd wandered off(got lost really but shhh!) and end up in front of a wire fence, gawd knows where, a long black car waiting,engine running and then,as if in slo mo, Prince comes out, dark emerald shirt, black trouser so tight...and black boots, and the hair, lord, the hair-dark, straight and sooo shiny. He smiled, and I somehow managed to smile back..then stood there gaping like a fish til the car drove away. It just made my eighteen year old mind very, very happy.
So yes, random moment, fate-not sure but I saw P with no intention of seeing him and it still makes me smile, twenty years later.

when I met Prince, I was definitely at the right place at the right time. It was during his 3121 shows in Vegas, I had just walked out of the Rio casino to get some fresh air, this was in the area where he was doing the aftershow, when out of no where Prince drives up!
