Michael beat Prince? Really...and Diddy just beat Miles? That's criminal. Diddy shouldn't be on the list as he based his music on samples.

I honestly don't think any of those rappers should be in the top 25... top 50 maybe.

BET never gets it right. Then again, most of these Top 10 lists never get it right.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I think the headline should say: Top 25 influential BLACK artists in music.
Because I can think of some other names like Elvis, John Lennon.....
How beautiful do the words have to B, before they conquer every heart

Why do so many black people buy $300 sneakers before books?

If Buddy Holly is not on the list then you need to take ALL guitar playing 'influences' off this list. This is a child's list made for children.

I guess there were no white people who influenced music lol.

Nice to see Prince way up there. I could see MJ influencing a lot of dancers, but as far as music goes, I think he's still in a category of his own, meaning, in my opinion, no one really makes music that sounds like MJ's. Not many people make any music I would guess was influenced by MJ. However, many many people cite Prince as an influence. wink

I wonder why they are constantly putting out list after list rating artists by countdown. I wouldn't take any of it seriously since they are always changing anyway.
