Is this the reason behind a 3 CD Release ? Purple lotus
This is the mystic lotus, represented only in images belonging to a few esoteric sects. The flowers may be in full bloom and reveal their heart, or in a bud. They may be supported by a simple stem, a triple stem (symbolizing the three divisions of Garbhadhatu: Vairocana, lotus and vajra) Lotusflow3r As a flower essence, Lotus has many uses. It is called the spiritual elixir. It helps in meditation by calming the mind and improving concentration. Thus it assists in spiritual growth—take seven drops before meditation. Elixir The mud in which the lotus roots grow represents material life, while the water through which the stalk passes represents the astral world. Lotus also balances and amplifies the effects of other flower essences when used in a combination. It corrects emotional imbalances by allowing a gentle release of emotions. For example, a case of severe backache may be due to a suppression of emotions and a storing of negative emotions and can be helped by the release of emotions through dreams. )Which just goes to show how little you actually know, seeing as JW's denounce the Holy Trinity! LondonStyle presented a cogent and substantiated thought regarding the new releases - it may not be the reason for the trilogy of albums on their way, but it certainly fits in to the overall concept. And its far more considered and conceived than your knee-jerk dismissal of anything esoteric. Given Prince's massive use of metaphor and imagery in the past, I'm surprised that some here seem to think the only reason the album has the title lotusflow3r, was because it received such scant consideration as "well, that's not available as a URL"!! ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

It's a fine theory, but I think it's more like this:
Prince knows many fans have wanted a pure rock album from him for a long time, and he knows many fans have wanted an 80's synth-filled album from him for a long time. He also wants to introduce another protege to his fans because he often does that. The simplest explanation is more often than not the truest one. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

prince couldn't name the album Loutus Flower and ALSO have a website with the same name as that website/url already exists...hence Lotus Flow3r....of course he may already have conceived the idea of 3 albums before he know this - we know he likes to 'play' with words incorporating numbers anyway.....but I wonder if this was a workaround for the website and he threw in the other 2 albums so it seemed 'more planned' - he surely wouldn't want another NPGMC debacle LOL!!!
by the sounds of the MPLSound album so far he should have stuck with 2 cds... although, time will tell - I shouldn't judge till I hear them all the way through!! Patience is a virtue... [Edited 2/6/09 16:22pm] |

I am just wonder is it that he can't find a record co. that will take him. I mean really I can dig 15 18 for a cd. but i have 2 kids to raise and can't even afford the internet at this point. The money for the net plus to pay to be on the site not in my budget.The econamy being what it. how does he think people can afford all that. Once again he is catering to the rich and that never goes weel | |
