Dez....Don't You Like My Band??

Was Prince being an A@# to a recently departed Dez with this adlib from XtraLoveable? or am i reading something into that wasn't intended?

(i read in the Life and Times book; that Dez didn't like the direction the music was going in when he left the group)

Yep, he was definitely razzing him. I would think it was all in good humor since he gave Dez a bit of airtime in Purple Rain. I think it was funny myself.
