That would suck if he went up there but it would make sense.

To the Hamptons, yeah, but at least he would be able to live in peace and quiet and away from the noise of city.

Very good point. He could have a place here AND the Hamptons! The best of both worlds!
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

He would get his ass handed to him on Fordham Road.

What you know about Fordham Rd? lol

Prince would do just fine along my old neighborhood of Fordham Rd or the Grand Concourse or the Bronx Zoo or further up like Co-Op City, Throgs Neck or Pelham Bay Park.

That would be a funny site to see him anywhere in the Bronx, though I heard he did a charity concert for disabled kids at Lehman College in the Bedford Park part of The Bronx during the Purple Rain tour.

It's ture my speech teacher at Kennedy high school told me she saw him at Lehman College during the Purple tour. I think it's possible he could play their again one day. Lehman Collge always gets some great acts. I heard they had Patti Lebelle their rencently.

True. Living in the Hamptons where he could enjoy a peaceful life living among folks of his financial status, and could still give his celeb parties. For fans/casual or hardcore, he could perform in the Manhattan clubs in a small or large venue.

Also, NYC is less than 3 hours away from Minne, Plus, we have lots of blues/jazz nightclubs in Manhattan. It's never boring here. We don't have too many award shows like the Grammys, as I don't remember the last time the Grammy Awards was held in NYC, but NYC always have other celebrity events going on constantly throughout the year. Today, starts Fashion week in NYC, which is being held in Bryant Park as a matter of fact.

Smokey Robinson played there not too long ago, maybe last summer. I was surprised to see so many acts playing at Lehman. If Prince played there again, I'd lose my mind. 2 of the buses that come to my house go right to Lehman's door so getting there would be a piece of cake.

Prince you listening?! lol

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

It would be so cool if he did play there again. There is a real chance he could play there. He has a history there. biggrin When she told me he played at Lehman I was surpised but that was years before I was born (1988). I think it's could he play for the kids. I live near Lehman, so I can run to see Prince! Really I could! lol

He could play BB KINGS. Blue Note. SOBS... The Watchtowers Headquarters are here. Plays are always Here First. Prince should have moved here years ago. Nothing is like NYC. California is Cool and the weather is Cool, but NY is Better in my OPINION.

I would totally love Prince to perform in NY. Like a 21 nights gig or something. I would totally go and splurge... bad economy and all... wink

But I have a feeling Prince does not like NY as much as he likes LA. I think he likes the weather there much more also NY would be more crowded and congested to his liking... shrug

Maybe because...it sucks? I'm sorry, but I can't stand any place that is filled with rude people and an abhorrent crime rate. LA is bad enough, but New York? Forget about it. The place is a toilet as far as I'm concerned. smile

There are bad people everywhere, not just in NY.

More of them congregate in NY. Sure, it's fun, but what's the use of fun once you're dead?
