Purple Rain 180g vinyl now in stock & shipping from Amazon I got a nice surprise today when I received my copies which I ordered way back in August.
http://www.amazon.com/Pur...211&sr=8-1 The album comes in a sleeve which has an 'HQ-180' silver sticker on it and then the record is in a transparent sleeve which has an insert folded around it. One side has the lyrics image and the other is the WDC face/eyes. I don't have time to play it right now or post pictures, but might be able to later and will post an update. | |

Best Buy stocks this in their stores. Warning: The vinyl album art seems to be a scan of the CD art blown up. Very bad. Who knows how good a job they did on the acetate.
Anyone bought this and compared the sound to the original LP pressing? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

My son surprised me 2 years ago with a used Purple Rain vinyl album he purchased at a flea market in Brooklyn. Too bad I don't have a record player to play it on. Nice to know they still make vinyls though. [Edited 2/12/09 13:47pm] | |
