I think that El-P (example, El-P's remix of Head Automatica's "Beating Heart Baby"), Trent Reznor (example "Only", "Sunspots") Beck/Dangermouse could all collaborate Prince and expand his horizons without compromising his artistic goals.

I've said this before, I would love for Prince and Jonathan Butler to do something together.

I agree with Eno. Prince's music is so heavily founded and anchored to his own past innovations, soundscapes and personnas that having anyone else in the studio would be in direct conflict with Prince's absolute freedom of expression.
When you get a Prince record, you get a Prince record - faults and all. I like knowing it's all him. It's not like that with anyone else. I think it's a bit bold of most artists and bands to have just their names on the front when their work has been the outcome of collaborations between many people. U2 included.
