Mine is Nude because of the wildness of it and because I used to love the band Prince had at the time. Lovesexy Oakland California 1988, I went both nights saw everyone and met Carlos Santana. I love this show even though he did no encores. Great band. Next fav is ONA Dallas 2002. We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

The Xenophobia night after the Bernard Allison performance
and the Xenophobia night with the acoustic show + the one after that the same night and of course Hamburg ONA, incredible, just incredible, amazing...non-fans bitching about ticketprices ( 86 $ ) were later saying things like : " I would pay 400 $ to see a show like this again ! " Strange but true . Paradiso 1995 ( Gold Experience tour aftershow ) was also very cool, and MTV aftershow 1994 was very classy, but had a crappy PA... I heard people saying things like " I would pay a hundred bucks to have that on CD !" after the " Bernard Allison" night...( was it the 5th night ??) " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

There was a show at Paisley in 1998 where nobody came (Less then 50) and it was a special performance.
I've seen a lot of cool shit at Paisley and at the old Glam Slam. As far as arena gigs are concerned I would say the second show Prince performed in Minnesota on the Lovesexy tour. The worst: That's a tie between the show that ended the first celebration at the Northrup or the two shows that ended the second celebration at the Xcel Energy Center. Those were some horseshit shows and Prince almost lost me at that time.

Walking out of Paisley Park every night of the celebration my friend and i said "That was the best show! It can't get ny better" but every night it did. The 25 June and the 24 June were the best (equally so) shows i've ever seen.

LOVESEXY, November 1988 - Denver, Colorado...
Even the crowd was hot and very sexy! I drove down from Casper, Wyoming for the show (yeah, like Prince would ever play there again after the Sheridan fiasco with the opening of "Under the Cherry Moon"). We snuck up to the backdoor of the arena that afternoon, after passing his 7 tour buses -- each with names like Passion, Ecstacy... and we actually stood outside for more than an hour listening to the rehearsal. Later that night, we passed through security and found our seats, eager for the concert to begin. There was no opening band - thank God... or rather, thank Prince! As the lights began to dim, I remember seeing some concert riggers wheel out a large box. I had a hunch it was a way Prince was being taken to the stage. (Later I found out that Prince, Sheila E., and Cat were all secretly wheeled to the stage inside the box!) After the lights went black and the audience went wild... we heard the Alphabet Car start it's engine. It is my absolute favorite concert, and I am sooo grateful for bootleg videos of it that are out there. (Shh!) The stage was in the round, so I can't imagine a bad seat in the place -- unlike P's latest staging at the end of an auditorium. WHY DOES HE DO THAT NOW? It pisses me off because it seems like everyone could be closer and have better seats if his concerts were in the round again. But I digress... Anyway, the night was filled with a few medleys at the piano, the appearance of Bob George, Sheila bangin' on the drums, Cat doing her thang, and a lot of hydraulic lifts. Basketball hoops, flowers, a bed, and all kinds of platforms rose up seemingly out of nowhere. Bonnie Boyer came out and did some amazing singing -- something about a BMW and having fake money fall from above still sticks in my mind. Leeds & Bliss did some great horny numbers too and I wished the night would never have ended... but it did as the Alphabet Car -- with Sheila and Cat on the hood, sped away with Prince at the wheel! Of course, why am I telling you this -- you've undoubtedly seen the video or perhaps were at the concert somewhere in its stops. Right?

LoveSexy for Arena shows...
And just about anything from the last celebration (except the 6th nite-ONA reprise) was tops. I think the accoustic show gets the prize, though.
