I have looked in Sleevographia and can not locate this. But this promo is listed in Uptown's Prince Discography for US promos. Does anyone have this or knowledge of this item? Any photos if it exists? Thanks in advance.

There is a promo CD, but not a promo 12"

It was listed on Sleevographia for the longest time but it was agreed upon by die hard collectors that it doesn't exsist. I remember a long thread about it on Housequake.

i have a copy.it was a radio promo..not issued as an actual single to retail.radio stations get promo singles all the time.

if i may add my 2cents... i am an avid collector of Mr.P's vinyl releases... this is an absolute first time hearing about this for me... i very much doubt this exists as no one has ever seen one... however if it does turn out to be i'll be first in line for mine...

I think khemseraph is talking about the promo CD single, not the promo vinyl. The promo CD single is known to exsist like Boris said. I could be wrong so I'd love to see a picture of it too.

alleged 12" Promo. As I've heard people claim to have this item before, but
in all my years of collecting I've never seen one, and never met anyone who
can provide any proof whatsoever that it exists.

As for the CD Promo, I know that exists as I've got one myself.

I was agreeing with you Boris. I've never seen a picture either but have heard people say they have it. In this day and age of computers, a picture of an item this rare would be posted somewhere. Especially when people say they have one. I believe, just like you, that it doesn't exsist. I will continue to believe it until someone proves me wrong.

Yeah, I have the promo cd, but have been looking for the 12" promo. Like I said before, I was going by the Uptown US promo discography. They even had a catalogue number, PRO-A-5301. Thanks to everyone for their info and help.
