Sad state of society

Why have we reached a point in society where we expect and subconciously hope for failure? I read the paper every day, and negativity is everywhere. We want every local buisness to fail, so we can say I told you so. We watch every waking moment of a celeb's life, hoping to see them fall, so we can be the first ones to post on the tragedy. We spend all of our time on message boards, pretending to support an artist, only to completely rip to shreds the hard work they have put into their art. We demand everything, because we feel it's our right. We are entitled to the world. "He owes us, I've been a fan since Dirty Mind blah blah blah". Bulls*it. No one owes you a mother f*cking thing! You choose to listen to an album, or an artist. Why devote so much time in trying to find reasons why somone has "lost it", or to prove you aren't a fan. Thats great..Im sure he was glad to have you aboard for as long as he did. Buh-bye!

No one can appreciate a 3 disc offering for $12 dollars? Are you serious? There is nothing he could have put on those albums that would have satisfied you. How sad and miserable must your life be? Life's way too short and stressful to waist the amount of energy that many of you exhaust in negativity. If you don't like it, move on. Break out The Hits. Im sure it covers your expectations.

Im sure I will be flamed for taking the time to post on this as well, as I agree it is no different then the very thing I am bitching about.

I just wish we could bring back positivity. This world we live in today is very sad.

People can say whatever they want. People have been predicting doom and failure on Prince for the past 20 years. The bottom line is no matter what people say, hope for or predict, Prince is still working. I watched him on Leno last night, and he is still doing what he loves, whether you like what you hear or not. Above everything else, I really admire that.

Yet for all the negativity I can't ever get a damn ticket to a show. I have been catching hell as a Prince fan since he was on American Bandstand. He seems to just bring out extremes in people. I get mad every time I see a boatload of celebrities at his shows knowing some of them are the same ones who called him weird, strange and everything else. I say step aside and lets celebrate this music while we can. I for one am in financial hell at the moment and the fact that I can still get 3 records for 12 bucks from my favorite artist puts a damn smile on my face.

I think no one appreciates spending 77 dollars on 3 albums they can't listen to.

And even when they can..they start thingink that they just spent 77 dollars on 3 albums...as opposed to a membership to a fanclub music site whatever. The 77 is for that. the music is a bonus on top of that. and when there isn't much content other than the music, I think that's where folks have issues.

I can now get into the site. I can now listen to all 3 albums. I am waiting for the tour so I can get good seats at the concert. I doubt I'll explore the site that much unless there is new music to download or videos to download. I don't expect any news to come from that site what-so-ever except to announce a show or an exclusive Backyard BBQ I won't get to go to anyway.

SOME peeps chose to place responsiblity for their personal happiness in the laps and lives of others..

When the strangers that they have given this power to, dont do as 'they' would prefer. Instead of talking responsibility for their own lives and doing for themselves they flip out at their designated keeper of happy.
