If they didn't, there'd be quite a few here talking about having been contacted but being too far away etc. And congrats to you lucky winners! Rorywan said: How did they know who was in L.A.? all they took was your email.
How did they know who could attend that night? How did they know you could drive yourself there? To know all of this, they must have contacted others as well?! Where are all of those. Not doubting your stories, hope you had a great time. Why the lack of tracks played, from all? etc etc etc We all know P associates have been on the Org a long time. But this all sounds pretty fishy to me. ? [Edited 2/2/09 4:26am] Perhaps... Sounds a bit strange though... And have you seen the fake"newspaper" style piece thats just been added to lotusflow3r? ooooo I'm so jealous!!! If that was me, I dont know how I would have controlled the tears from falling down my face....I guess if Prince would have given me that "look", like he was going to throw me out if I didn't stop blubbering, I would have probably stopped then. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

As soon as I got to the house, I buzzed the door bell and I was greeted at the door by Scott Clay, who is the lead designer of Lotusflow3r.com He Lead me to the kitchen, where to my left on this big round couch sat the first purple ticket winner, RD and his wife. I sat down next to them and two reporters from the Huntington Post. The reports knew very little about Prince, but I told them by the end of the night their lives would have changed for the better. (they just smiled at me) We all chatted for awhile. My heart was beating a million miles an hour I couldn’t believe I was in Prince’s house. To my right was Prince’s black piano (OMG). I couldn’t wait to get the chance to roam the house. About an hour after my arrival we were fortunate enough to have a group session with both Scott Clay and Anthony Malzone. They gave us a short run down on how the website came to be, the original graphics, and what’s to come. These men are both very talented and very energetic. Shortly after we were able to roam around some. RD’s wife and I decided to go off and admire some of the rooms in the house. The layout of this mansion was magnificent. Every single room and hallway had a different décor to it. The dining room paintings were of Spaniards. We looked to our left and we saw the living room. We quietly walked down the hallway towards the living room. As we enter the room the first thing I noticed was the huge painting of prince hanging over the fireplace. This same painting was found in various rooms of the house, just in different s izes. I can’t tell you the exact color of the walls, but I think it was a light peach. The paintings in this room where exquisite. The lights where dim and the lamps where shaped like huge shells. There where plants all over the house, just in case I forget to mention it. As I admired one of the paintings in the living room I could hear Prince talking to someone in one of room close to us. My heart kept beating faster and faster, I felt like I was dreaming, but NO!! I was awake and this was very much reality. We decided to go out to the hallway. Seconds later Prince came out of the room straight ahead of me and walked towards us. He greeted both of us and told us the presentation would be starting soon. We walked behind him back towards the kitchen. This man smells amazing!!!!. His hair was black, short, and his do was perfect. He had on white slacks and a colorful pastel blouse . Well, at least the top part was. On his neck he had a gold necklace made of what looked like large gathered circles. Don’t quote me on this, I was soo nervous my eyes may have played tricks on me a few times. He was wearing high platform tennis shoes that lit up in the back when he walked. The man looked fierce, as always. We all walked into a room that led down a flight of stairs (going down of course). As I was walking down the stairs I noticed a black and white picture of his mother sitting on the stair well. The pic was absolutely breath taking . At the bottom of the stair to the left was the movie theatre. The top of the door way said “21 Nights”. We walked in and I felt my heels sink into the softest carpet ever. Pej and I along with the others found a couch to sit on and got comfortable. I kept looking back at the doorway, looking to get another glimpse at the purple one. I could hear him, I just couldn’t see him. I did see Anita Baker and Bria V. They are both stunning The presentation was outstanding. I can’t go into detail, but its well worth the wait. Again his web designers are brilliant. As soon as the presentation ended, the sound of Prince’s guitar echoed through the room. We were told to walk down the hall towards the music room. As I walked through the hall I saw most awesome pool table and DJ booth ever. Not to mention on both sides of the room behind glass doors where replicas of the motor cycle from Purple Rain. As I entered the room Prince was directly to the left with his guitars. The disco ball was on, the vibe was hype and we were all ready for Prince to perform. I took a seat on the couch and watched this man move and sing. I felt like I was in heaven, or as close to heaven as I can get. There were no more than 30 people in the room. Perfect view at all times. Unlike Pej I looked Prince in the eyes and we exchanged a few smiles. Prince’s energy was felt throughout the room. Even the reporters from the Huntington post where tearing up the dance floor His smile lit up the dark. He moved like a cheetah across the room. He looked like he was have the time of his life. I sat next to Anita Baker and even exchanged a few words with her. The lady is awesome. I also had the privilege to sit next to Rhonda Smith. I’m not good with the set list, sorry folks. I do know that he played for what seems like hours. From covers to his new stuff to the old funky stuff. He even played the drums a few times, which made this night even more amazing. I sat in awh and at times in disbelief. But Yes, I was really there. The man and his music are HOT and will make you melt. Around 1 am (I think, I know I felt like I had lost track of time) Prince stopped playing but the DJ kept going. I hung out for a while and of course admired some more rooms/hallways in the house. I have never been so intrigued in my life. I couldn’t help it. This was a once in a lifetime gift. I have probably left out some details, but for the most part this is it. I hung out with Prince, his band, a few reports, his web designers and of course RD, his wife and last but not least good ol Pej. I met some awesome people. Both Scott Clay and Anthony Malzone are great people. Couldn’t ask for a better night. As I walked out the front door I looked up at the second floor of the house. I wanted to take one more look. All so surreal, but I was there. I could have stayed for days I got into my car drove out the gates and took my heart out of my stomach and put it back in its proper place. A very special thank you to Prince, Scott and Anthony and his crew for their warm hospitality. Wonderful story darling!! Wonderful story!! So happy for you! I swear, I neeeeed to go to this house! lol You described it well. I bet it was just amazing! -you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude!

[Edited 2/2/09 4:41am] What seems so fishy to you? 3 people clicked on the purple ticket to enter into the system on the lotus site. 3 people were chosen to go to Prince's house and party. They went...the people there asked then how they enjoyed it, they told them, and they posted in on the site. Not trying to be funny, I just do not understand what seems to fishy to ya. -you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude!

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your experience; sounds like a great time.
I have a question about the art--you said the dining room paintings were of Spainards. What do you mean? They were in a Spanish style (Velaquez, Goya, El Greco?) or they were literally of Spanish people? If the latter, how could you tell they were Spainards? Thanks!

One of the orgers knew an insider and suggested a couple of other orgers from LA (one boy and one girl to keep everyone happy).,, it is really that simple. I have a serious problem believing this. When you can't answer simple questions( I don't mean about the new website) i.e what Prince wore that night/was his hair very short as on the pic shown on drfunkenberry.com and a few others questions makes this quite "unbelievable" and furthermore, what you've described could have been condensed to 1 short paragraph. Again, I have a hard time believing your "so-called" experience. ??? Forever in my life...

What a great story and I love the ending:
I got into my car drove out the gates and took my heart out of my stomach and put it back in its proper place. I can only imagine what you were feeling the whole entire time. I would of been freaked out about what I'm going to wear, my hair, make up etc....Hopefully you had atleast a couple of days to prepare and not a few hrs to get ready for your adventure. I probably would have cried, shouted, and trembled like I was on crack! Wow, I'm totally happy for you and I'm sure you still can't believe this really happened. It's going to take a while for you to come back down off the clouds. lol [Edited 2/3/09 9:13am]

1. How were you notified you had won, and were you flown out to LA or live there already? 2. Was the "big box" retailer distribution discussed, or a timetable given for release of the 3 albums? 3. Do plans for the site include distributing more music than just these three albums, i.e. back catalogue or additional new material? i was notified by email. I live fifty miles north of LA. Unfortunately i can not answer the other two questions. Cool - thanks for answering! That's a once-in-a-lifetime experience you had there. Treasure it!
