This is beyond an appreciation thread...because the song sings for itself in both illusional reality if we have not traveled beyond our atmosphere, and beauty with Prince's vocals, dreamy lyrics, and heavenly musical charm.

Maybe somebody could post the lyrix...yet most of us know the song by heart...

Consider the lines:

Where the songs go...
Where the tears flow..
Where the love grows...

I thought that we could talk about this song scientifically...Which is intrically woven with love of course.

I'm taking an Astronomy class right now...over an hour from my house twice a week...so I have been further from posting on board than I would like...although the class has been successfully confirming concepts about music for me...as we are learning about wavelengths, frequencies, the electromagnetic spectrum...etc.

I did not know until last week that sound waves need air to travel or they are not heard, yet that doesn't mean they don't exist in outer space. All energy exists somewhere even if it is not harnessed by some kind of reception.

~Anyway...I've just kind of thrown a bunch of things on the table for discussion....What along these lines can we talk about? Saying that "Space," is just a song that U love to listen 2...Is also welcomed. cool

cloud9 Space is a cherished song with wonderful lyrics. I still have the cassette tape of this one with all the various mixes. It seems like this song came from an album that had the same type of "sound." But I guess that's another baby sitting in the Vault.

I love this song, the first time I heard it,it gave me goose bumps. To me it always evertime I listen to it which is not really that often, makes me feel he is reaching out to someone. Like he is bypassing all time, and space, in this song he achieves this very well.

The subject you are studying on goes to show the beautiful side of GOD'S power, and wonders, it is only the surface of his power. From time to time I watch Discovery Science Channel which tends to have alot of astronomy - e.t.c shows, I really enjoy.

Oh this just came to my mind the vibrations in this song are incredible, I wonder how he did the recording, what methods he had used in the studio. If he did all his songs with the same method he used in this song, I believe his music/songs would be much more enjoyable. But it would require a whole new restucturing of his music, and not sure he is looking for that. If he did a Christian album, (praise music) with this method... The positive affects he would have on so many people would be astounding... Hint hint....

Hi Tame,

Are you really Stephen Hawking? eek

Too clever for me but I agree with everything you say!

Therefore, I will be boring and just add how much I love this song and the whole album.

A great song, therefore a great thread.

Yeah...I bet...I've never taken statistics other than portions of the concept in Math. All that I really remember is that statistics try to predict the future, and if a skew is curved to the right or the left, u can determine which way numbers are heading. Anyway, I'm sure it has U on the ball all of the time, I hope U get an, "A."

My teacher said that he has only had one "A," in his class and that it was last quarter. That really gives me some pressure. cool

Yes...It is a beautiful song, and "Space," is certainly a beautiful part of life. When U think of the "Universe," and life being set to a musical scale and direction toward Love in harmony, it can take your mind off the current suffering of the world.
I try to catch those shows too. The History Channel does their Universe show on tuesday's at 9. cool

Listening to Prince 4 years eventually makes U realize that Prince has a natural talent...I know that Prince is dedicated to trying, although Prince makes singing beautifully and hitting those soul opening notes sound easy. Praise Music. cool

Hi golfgolfmark...No I am not Steven Hawkins...although He would be interesting to have tea with everyday at 4....I appreciate physicists explorations, where would we be without them? other than lost in our comprehension of Space.

I know...I have been on Tuesdays, and I watch the UFO Hunters, and the UFO files too.

My opinion is that it is possible to travel at incredibly high speeds in vehicles that the govt. knows about, and if someone is not born within this atmospheric sphere we have around us and they are, "Extra terrestrial," by Universal principles, we are still related.

Just the same as someone on a line of energy, a lie is related to it's truth.
