Hello All:

Just a quick note about a new and emerging podcast -

For anyone interested in hearing critical analysis and opinions of Prince music (and also a few aussie accents), the Peach & Black Podcast will be providing new episodes every 2-3 weeks and can be found at:

http://peachandblack.podbean.com and on itunes, where we review 'Indigo Nights' in show number one!

Have a listen everyone and get on the boat!
Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

that's right

Episode 2 is now available for download. In this one we review Prince’s most recent studio release, ‘Planet Earth’ from 2007, and a few other bits and pieces. Ridiculously funky intro track by the one and only, Toejam! Shoot The Duck!

Thanks to everyone for all the great positive feedback and support, we appreciate it and we will continue doing this well into the future - for your listening pleasure. Enjoy episode number two! Let us know what ya think…….

The main presenter is sounding whispy and tinny this time. A problem that wasn't there in the first podcast as far as I remember.

Hey guys, just a little technical niggles, not really a criticism:

The volume of the mp3 seems relatively low, I had to turn my speakers way up to hear everything. I remember this being an issue with the first podcast too.

Secondly, it might be nice, just from a 'branding' POV to include some artwork/logo in the mp3 tags - so it shows up in iTunes/on the ol' iPod, you know.

I enjoy listening to your opinions, keep it up. cool

lol @ The Ford Farlane mention. I *completely* disagreed with your opinions on All The Midnights, but look up Zuzu's Petals, and Ford Farlane won't be the first thing that comes up in Google! razz

We are aware of the technical problems, and all 4 of us are in constant discussions regarding the mic volume and how we can (going forward) make future episodes sound louder / better. Please continue to provide us with this feedback so we can make future podcasts better for you. We have already recorded the next podcast, so the issues may still be apparent with the next couple of episodes before you hear any difference in the results, so bare with us.

Artwork / branding, logos, etc is also currently being looked at and we have come up with over 30 different types of designs, which will be rolled out over the coming months. I will bring up this point about MP3 tags and try and get it incorporated into future uploads.

The reaction / support from everyone has been amazing. We're all happy that you're all enjoying it.

To continue to support us, you can "Become a fan of" the Peach and Black Podcast on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/p...4059006572 where you can be kept up to date when each episode goes live (like an RSS feed) each time you log into the Facebook network.

Likewise, you can also join the Peach & Black Facebook group http://www.facebook.com/g...1411552233 and welcome you to invite your Prince friends to join by clicking the “Share” button on the page. Making the network bigger will only make us stronger, so again, we thank you for the continued support

I don't find the fee bizaar. I am an avid listener of Michael Dean's podcasts. They are exception in my opinion and worth the minial price. It's great stuff and his guests are really REALLY interesting. No need to start any dissing. There are a lot of people who dig these postcasts, so please refrain any negative hype.
And self-absorbed? What?

The Peach & Black Podcasts are part inspired by the Freedom train and all the members of the Peach & Black Podcast encourage all Prince fans to check out and support the Freedom Train Podcasts. This isn't a competition, we're all in the same gang (so to speak), They are very good at what they do and have perfected it to a fine art, whereas we are just starting out, talking crap and recording it

Nothing is set in stone but right now I think it is one podcast every 3-4 weeks.
