I have Dish Network and therefore have several "radio" stations to choose from. I was flipping through as usual and something caught my attention. I looked and it said Foo Fighters: Darling Nikki. My jaw hit the floor. I only caught the last 3 notes of the song before the instruments stopped, Has anyone heard this version and do you like it?

But there's nothing really to it. It's just a straight up cover if I recall. No new spin or anything. And the scream is missing. ::gasps in horror::

Like Tora said, it's just a straight cover. A very faithful rendition to the original. The screams are more or less still there, but with Dave's manlier voice (well, it is!) the effect is quite different.

Yeah, the respect is mutual. They also covered 'Drive Me Wild' from the Vanity 6 LP.

I love it, I think it's the best Prince-cover ever made. In contrast to other people I thnk it's not a straightforward cover. The Foo's gave it their own , rawer edge which serves the song very well.
