Would most of you agree that...

Crimson and Clover is Prince's best song since anything on the Gold Experience album?

I would. Seriously, this song is absolutely fantastic.

It's very much how he covered Creep if you ask me. I'm not sure if that's stating the obvious or not. It is a very good cover though.

I can see Crimson being played by Radcliffe and Maconie on their evening Radio 2 slot and Colonised Mind being the general radio release. If the latter is it'll possibly be played to death. Which I nearly have.

Which song is it from, I'm not too familiar with Hendrix stuff? But I thought this was from Wild Thing? Except Prince sings, 'baby', instead of 'wild thing'.

It's Hendrix doing Wild Thing's dog's cousin twice removed neighbour across the street thought she'd heard her daughter's hamster squeaking to XFactorOnIceCelebrityJungle bush-tucker-trial.

Hee, without realising it I wrote that Hendrix is doing a dog.

Right, I really must stop talking shit, being childish and most importantly getting involved in political and religious/spiritual topics. But what will I write about!? I guess I could always start posting pictures of Prince. Have we had a "Prince Wearing Burnt Orange" thread yet?

No, I wouldn't agree. In fact, I don't think it's even the best of his recently previewed stuff. That would be Colonized Mind.

I like it but, like you, think Colonised Mind is the better of the recent releases.

No I don't. There's been plenty of good and great songs since 1995 from Prince but hey, it is what it is. I've dug all of the new stuff I've heard and I can't wait to hear the rest. smile
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Wild Thing is not a Hendrix song. It was written by Chip Taylor, originated by The Wild Ones in 1965, covered in its most memorable version by The Troggs in 1966, and then covered by Hendrix in 1967.
