2009 Preview: Major Albums Prince: Good luck avoiding Prince in 2009. The Purple One has been giving copious interviews lately in anticipation of three self-released records coming this year: "MPLSound" is vintage Prince electro-pop, featuring a track with rapper Q-Tip; "Lotus Flower" is guitar driven and eclectic; and "Elixir" is a sultry R&B collaboration between Prince and his newest femme-protégé, Bria Valente. Now that's sweet right there! I hope 2009 will be a great Purple year for all of us! I can't wait for these 3 CD's!!! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

This is actually one of my all time favorite Prince news articles.
Not one mention of "The artist formerly known as the artist" or "the diminuative musician" or ANY such nonsence! It's vague, because no confirmed dates have been given, but isn't annoyingly so. No tease, no hype, just what info is available. Nice!  I'm firmly planted in denial |

Hey! I'm really excited.  I just logged on the net and the 1st thing I saw was my Man Prince on the FRONT PAGE of MSN  . I did a double take and here I am. Bring it..... I am so ready 4 his new music.
