OK,I find all of this speculation rather useless.
I happen to know the woman who wrote the blog(she was actually asked to write it ,by the way) and you can bet your bottom dollar that she is legit. Also,not to sound like a brat or anything but I have heard the entire MPLSOUND album. My hubby is a mastering engineer,his name is Brian Gardner and we both heard the cd this past Monday night. I don't know much about Prince's music other than Purple Rain and Little Red Corvette and the MPLSOUND album seems to be going in those directions musically,to my un-trained ears...my hubby knows much more than me in matters like these and he LOVES the album,says it is Prince's best since at least the late 80's. Well as a group, they weren't really in the studio a whole lot, and neither was any other group. Prince has always been mostly a DIYer. It's what inspired me tremendously as a kid. So, are we to assume that the exclusivity of these records being heard "on Sunday in Chicago" would imply that it would only be via physical listening, and not by way of leaked digital files? I mean surely there'd be no way to assure anyone or anything that any available digital files would be confined to a geographical location...right? | |
