Compared to other Prince songs and lyrics, HOW, how, how H-O-W (?!!)can you find this one embassasing and cheasy??? It´s propably one of the deepest or most sincere songs of his entire production!!! Oh my God! "Sincere"? are you sure? ..Well as sure as I can be.. It seems sincere however..

It's a fantastic track, and it would be flawless except for one thing- there is this muted horn or something in the intro that sounds kinda stupid. My friends always laugh at that part, but besides that, they love it. I always thought it was a weird thing too. Do you guys know what I'm talking about? It's a muted horn sound that only plays a couple of notes right before Prince starts singing, lasts maybe three seconds...

Natasha said: It's very Sad. I love it,but it's Hard to listen to because it's Blue you know... What exactly is he talking about? Is it about Christopher from the movie? A Pet? A Friend? Suicide? Sometimes Life Ain't Always The way??? What is it about? Any thoughts?
I like this song very much too, Natasha. I find it moving, sometimes unbearably so as well. The album Parade reaches awesome heights--I love the spirituality of Mountains. For my part, I think Prince is singing about the Passion of Christ. If you think about it, Christopher Tracy can be abbreviated to Chris T. April is often the month when Easter falls. He died during a 'Civil War'. And this fella, Christopher Tracey, seems to be a tremendous figure--not afraid of the Devil, leaving the singer 'hypnotized', crying like no-one else. I guess the song means different things to different people, but I reckon most are moved by it in any case. regards, andyf --------

Absolutely adore this song... still gives me chills, each and every time I hear it ...
It's just one of those songs you can't help but be effected by. I'll never forget when I first heard it, it left me speechless, and quite motionless for hours. It's haunting, poignant, heartbreaking and exquisitely beautiful... --»You're my favourite moment, you're my Saturday...

LOOOve it. In paris (1993) when he sang it it was so emotional!!! (he just let us sing it for some time, and the gentle guitar work was so cool!)
Anybody remember this Act II tour moment? "Goodness will guide us when love is inside of us... The Force will be with you, always"
