Prince does not need to collaborate with anyone new to get a hit. Bear this in mind, the Musicology project was really our dream come true when it came to promo i.e. we had tonnes of print interviews, MTV accoustic set, TV interviews on major shows and a tour to back it all up. The result?, one of the most successful tours in US history. It shifted tix for the tour and if I remember correctly a decent amount of sales for the CD across Europe?.
The hype worked then, it damn sure worked for 21 nights in London and we hope that it will work for this new project, BUT where the hell is it!!!.
I predict that late next week we will see a press conference announing the launch for the 31st of Jan. Lets hope that there are exciting times ahead and not just 3 albums quickly released to sink within a few weeks.
Come on P,if you truly believe in the quality of the music then do it justice and make this happen.

It's for those very reasons you mentioned, there needs to be enough time to get the "hype machine" rolling. A single, interviews and perfomances need to happen. It's the simple fact that, for having a hit, not only the quality of the song is important, but also how "hip" the artist performing the song is (and that has something to do with youth). JT, Beyonce and others had hits with songs of much less quality than "Black Sweat" or "Love" (if you just go by the songwriting).

He doesn't need Lil Wayne to sell a record and the minute he does it, then all of you will be complaining about that, so SHUT UP ALREADY.....DAMN!!!

I could care less if he hooks up with Rihanna or The Hottet piece of sh*t artist of the month, he still has his legacy of having some of the biggest hits known to mankind on this planet from his hey day as The Purple Prince of Pop.

As long as he still has the outlet to release music on his own terms and I have my own personal copy...I'M GONNA BE HAPPY!!!
