The Video with the Guitars coming together and the band Dancing and Prince crawling on the floor and naked from the waist up in the bathtub and OWWW with the Guitar with Shades and Scarf and the Purple Tear. Love it of course.However,it is one of his classic hits
as when everyone hears it they think of Prince,so I don't
play it as much.Only when I really want to hear some Prince.

How could anyone not like this song? It was his biggest hit (in the U.S.) and the best selling single of 1984. I mean, it's a great f***in' song. It was a song that was catchy & poppy but was edgy too (come on, no bass line?). I don't think anyone dislikes this one (or at least no one on Prince.org)

Some may be tired of it, but I don't think you'll find many here who disliked it from the get-go.

One of those rare songs that when you hear it you know that is so different so radical so decadent you just know that it is going to be huge.

Prince at his best , any other artist would perform it at every other opportunity.

It's also one of my favorite videos by him too.

I remember N.Y. Hot Tracks used to play it every Friday Night when Prince was touring in 1985 for weeks and weeks and Friday Night Videos also used to play it. There was really nothing like those Purple Rain Concerts and although that was my first Concert Experience and all well I was Sooo Excited by Prince and just watching him do How come U Don't Call Me Anymore when he would Flirt with the audience about his famous Ass well I just wish he would do that again and with Darling Nikki he used to say she left some Panties on the stairs. It was like the best and you couldn't wait for Purple Rain and him to stroke the Guitar Head and make it shoot water out. It was such Fun .
