Actually,I visited the one on Lake street in Minnesota and at the Mall of America which was like a Stand. I purchased a Clock with the Symbol on it and a NPG jacket with Leather Gloves ,I also bought the Pheramones and the Get Wild Perfume.I also bought some photos. Yes,I miss it. It was great with the videos and the Bumber from Lovesexy and Prince's costumes which were Beautiful and his Guitars. He had a room to watch his videos and lounge on the pillows. I never wanted to leave that store as it was Beautiful and you felt like you were in Paisley Heaven and the Smell of the shop was Beautiful and Fragrant.

Well then, to close off my own weak thread, I'm gonna answer them myself!
Who was lucky enough to visit one? ME! The one in Uptown MPLS...Got any pictures? YES! But only of the outside. Did you buy anything? If so, what did you buy? What was your favorite items that they sold? YES! I purchased music, the Get Wild perfume, Insatiable Oil, Insatiable incense sticks, and few other odds and ends...My favorite would have to be the Insatiable oil...gawd that was to die for!!! (bring it back, and call it something else, Prince!) Oh, and I love my kaleidoscope(sp)! What did you like the most about the store? It was beautiful in its design...cute little P props, but the best part was how important they made you feel with newsletters, and PHONE CALLS! telling you the latest scoops! The absolute best part was the listening room upstairs. It was small, with 4 tiny Bose speakers, a very cool chair, and lots of pillows. There was a tv to sneak preview videos, and P's mural on the wall! Do you miss it? OH GAWD YES! Thank you for your reply, LaVisHh!!! And you too, Natasha!

I was never lucky enough to get to any NPG store, but I wish I had.
Thanks for sharing your memories and a bit of description of it, Lav. It sounds like it was a really cool place. Didn't you say on another thread that in Mpls the purple door for the NPG store is still there? I need to go search that out one day just for kicks.

I spent MANY hours in the store uptown...I'd be in there a few times each week, if only to take a break from Uptown and hear some Prince..the upstairs was THE BEST
I didn't buy much there...but I think I was there at midnite to buy the glyph album (?) and Come... I was very sad when it closed...and now all we are left with is the pretty purple door...
