I was wondering if there were any hidden things or cameos to watch out for in Purple Rain. Anyone know?

Couple things I was curious about / noticed:

- Why is Brenda chewing gum while they're singing Sex Shooter?

- When the cops are interviewing Prince right after his dad shoots himself, the cop on the left with the blond curly hair looks ALOT like an 80's male porn star who went by the name Scott Irish.

- Wendy looks absolutely appalled when Prince kisses her on the cheek during the performance of Purple Rain. Her expression is priceless.

By the way has anyone ever read the script? Maaan they should not have cut stuff out cause I believe it would have made even more interesting.

Well let's see...

*During the scene while they're in the dressing room (when Wendy gets mad at Prince for not listening to her and Lisa's tape), Lisa's litteraly hanging out of of her shirt.

*At the end of the movie Morris and Jerome are all excited and dancing around while Prince is playing "Baby I'm a star", doesn't that mean they lost they're job?

*While Dez and his band are performing "Modernaire" and evrybody is dancing the same way, there'sone guy who looks like he has no idea what he's doing.

*In the beginning of the movie when Wendy gets mad at Prince in the dressing room she says hi to Lisa like 4 times

*When Prince and his band are waiting to go on stage at the end of the movie, Jill is in the dressing room sitting with the band.(WTF?)

*While Prince is singing that line in "Darling Nikki" (maturbating with a magazine) Wendy is laughing.

*During the guitar solo in "Computer blue" When Wendy has to get down on her knees she couldn't balance, also during the same performance Jill looks completly pissed.

*After Prince performs "Let's go crazy" and he's standing behind Apollonia when Jill puts the card Apollonia filled out on the board she looks pissed, then Prince looks at her and smiles. (is Jill suppose to have a thing for him in this movie or what?)

*And the guy who played the Kid's father was also in a movie Vanity was in.

Here's one thing that always bothered me about the First Avenue "battle":

When Billy says "I got 3 bands, I don't need 4", and "Morris is squeezin' ya, you better kick ass tomorrow night or else" . . .

Why is it assumed that Apollonia 6 will replace either The Revolution or The Time? Why not The Modernaires?

There were a lot of scenes left on the cutting room floor which would explain some of the confusion.

Jill Jones was supposed to be a girlfriend of Prince.Notice the scene with Jill & Prince where Jill says ..."I have something for you." & Prince says"What a supoena?"

Several years ago there was a move on to re-release Purple Rain as a 10 year anniversary thing with some of the scenes included but it was not to be.

Brenda can chew gum and perform because it's all lip-synching in Billy's club.

The Modernaires can't be dropped because of the hypnotic trance Dez's one song casts over the whole audience. Billy et al fall into the addictive dance moves and worship The Moderanires like Zombies.

Yes Jill's constant scowl in the back of shots is a not so subtle way of showing her unrequited feelings for The Kid.

In the orignal script Jill has a crush on Prince. A lot of her scenes were cut from the movie. You can find a copy of the orignal script on the internet. It is a fun read and explains some of the things that do not make sense in the movie.

1) If The Revolution wasn't the band on the bubble, there'd be no tension to the story.

2) The Kid was the "problem child" for Billy, so if somebody had to go, Billy would get rid of the biggest headache first. The Modernaires seemed harmless enough, but The Revolution was having all kinds of personnel issues, pulling that "one song shit" and The Kid was missing important meetings and such, so out on his can he'd go.

***When Apollonia tells Prince that she's going to join Morris' female group,Prince slaps her and warns her that "Morris only cares about himself".In another scene,Morris tells Apollonia the SAME exact thing about Prince...

***Amazingly,during the one big love scene,Prince keeps his clothes on!!

***At the end of the movie,it's obvious that The Revolution gets to keep their gig at First Avenue.So,which group had to be let go (The Modernaires or Apollonia 6).Assuming that The Modernaires got the boot,how would The Kid cope with his girlfriend being in a group that his former rival created?

***When The Revolution are performing "Computer Blue",Billy and Morris seem unimpressed,but the crowd seems genuinely thrilled.Was this supposed to be a bad performance? Apparently nobody told the audience...lol...

You guys and girls are Cracking me up. Well,I definitely know Prince does like Titties so he must have had a Smile for Appolonia. I think it's funny about the Supena thing thinking it's a weird Joke of Prince's. What's with his Mother being out on the Street with other Women? Why was that whole Part Cut-Out and What was that About? What's with King Kong and the woman Moaning? Why did he play this to Appolonia before they Make Love? Is that Suppose to be Foreplay? [The Screams Of Passion.] How about Prince's Dad saying NEVER GET MARRIED? How can you ever think Appolonia will Out-Battle the REVOLUTION? What? How about Morris saying I have a BRASS Water-Bed and an Italian Cook Gino Scatchagrazie? That's true with the moles and you know the dressing at that time was Regal and The French Revolution thing and all. I always Loved that Ornate,Opulent Style which was Prince. He's so Cosmopolitan,Debonair,Classy,Playboyish,I just Love Prince cause he's Sooo Hot and Sooo Smart. I think it's just that Smartness and Music that Drives me Crazy. He truly Knows how to Work It to the Max. He is Brilliant!! Brilliant!! He will Always be in the Scene cause he's firstly a Musician with TALENT and not a 1 Hit Wonder. I Respect that Sooo Much. If I have to say 1 thing about my Feelings about Prince well it's I Respect Him. Although I wanna Sex Him Soo. He'll always be my Dream Man. Always. No Man can Ever Replace him in my Heart.

Watch it again, close up if possible. You'll notice there are a lot of people who don't know what their doing. Check out the bleach blonde in the center that goes the wrong.
