Vienna, U4, May 28th 1987 In the middle of the night Prince desided to play at this underground club in Vienna after his two gigs in the city.
The audience was quite funny though. I'm listening to an audience-recording and you can hear people talking all the time in the funniest Viennese dialect. "Heast des kloane Maxl sicht jo keina!" In English: "Dude, that midget is so tiny you can't even see him!" "Voll, dea hätt sich höhare Stöckelschuh' anzieh'n soll'n!" In English: "Yeah, he should have put on higher heels!" "Wast du eigentlich dos des illegal ist, waunst sowas aufnimmst?" In English: "Do you actually know recording this is illegal?" "Na und?!" In English: "So what?"

Why can't I just once talk about a boot without receiving hundreds of orgnotes asking for it.
I'm sorry folks, without knowing you or having some kind of proof that I can trust you I can't do that, it's too dangerous. I don't want to sound greedy or anything, I hope you understand. If you have the bootlegs, let's talk about them and enjoy them, if not: Good luck! [Edited 1/19/09 15:39pm]

U didnt mention the quality is crap....Not even worth listining to Just my opinion... there's a re-mastered version of it called masquerade, which sounds a bit better. i really like this show alot though, troubling sound issues and chitchat and all . the extra-long version of housequake , the loose jam on the ball and holly rock with that bass line , the guitar jam and probably my favorite live version of adore . classic show! always wondered what those fools were saying. all that talk fucking up the show . if he didn't care about recording it, why not and make for a better recording , but i'll take it anyways life's a bitch, but god forbid the bitch divorce me...

A truly great, original after show.
The version of housequake for instance is the craziest ever (well it in fact turns into a jam that basically has nothing to do with the original song)

Ah, yes - another birthday show (mine, not his) that I missed. I have that one on vinyl. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

thanks 4 the translation dave!
i absolutely love the audience 'participation', i've just listened 2 masquerade & it sounds like the crowd were having a really great time.. all the chatter doesn't bother me one bit, it all adds 2 the atmostphere...but this particular example has 2 be the funniest! it reminds me of other recordings.. at an indigo show, prince winds up a song & someone shouts 'i love your shirt' ..it struck me as very funny.. there's an o2 an show & whoever is doing the recording is getting hassled by some divvy woman in the audience 'what song is this? what album is this on' i swear he was on the verge of telling her 2 go do one..
