Purple Rain Dbl LP? I am looking at a list of songs that were never released in this Per Nielsen book,and some say that they were included on a Purple Rain Dbl LP. There's no such thing as a double album of Purple Rain.
There was a Japanese promo double album called "Strange Tales From The Rain" though. Maybe it was a reference to this? As well as tracks from Purple Rain it included several b-sides and associated artists' tracks, as well as previous Prince hits. | |

I remember this rumor.There was even a complete tracklist that appeared in an early issue of the Controversy fanzine....
