It passed my mind that Prince must have heard this or may has been alerted. I doubt anyone in the industry would dare to rip him off. He and his lawyers are super notorious by now.

But maybe because she haute, it'll be allowed. cool

It's clearly a cash-in on the Controversy/Minneapolis sound, but not enough to call a direct plagarism IMO. All the pop acts are going for that sound at the moment.

I disagree - this is pretty damn close to direct plagiarism.

The music, its tone, the beat, the melody, and the consistent repetition of the title for the song in an eerily close cadence.

"Sex-u-al-i-ty"

"Con-tro-ver-sy"

The synthesizers in the background is what kills me! As if the 80's vocoder sound hasnt been slaughtered enough in hip hop music today.
