Doing the Electric Slide to Prince.... (I posted a similar thread in the non-Prince forum.)
What Prince song do you think you could do a mean Electric Slide to? For me, it's gotta be my perennial fave "Sexy Dancer." "Let's Work" would work, so would "Head." Hey! So would "Horny Toad!"--NOT! What else?

Since when is the Electric Slide a country dance? That's old school all the way! I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

The Electric Slide was (& still is amongst black folks) a popular dance based on a popular song of the same name(I forgot by who). The way it's done is a group of people congregate in a line, then slide to the left & clap their hands, slide to the right and do the same, then strut to the back and clap, then have the upper body lean foward and extend the arm, then swing the body around and repeat those steps in a different angle. That's the best way I could describe it. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Guess it's a country line dance, if you're into 10-gallon hats, cowboy boots, and Toby Keith. But, back in the day, and around the way, even before it was called the Electric Slide, we called it the "Bus stop" (in Brooklyn, anyway).

However I can see there being a well knowon dace to any of his songs. Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.
