Wall of Berlin may be my favorite new track...

From the tracks I've heard and listened to, I think honestly, Wall of Berlin may be my favorite.

I really, really like Colonized Mind, and think it has a great Jimi Hendrix vibe going on there. Crimson & Clover is fun, but it's a cover, no matter what Prince does to it.

But Wall of Berlin - it's got great freakin' guitar work, it's got an interesting vocal style, the drums are great, and the up-beat guitar riff is extremely addictive to me.

This feels like old Prince to me - I could have seen this song on 1999 or Sign o' The Times or Lovesexy. People have been wanting him to recapture some of the old feeling, old sound, old style - and to me, Wall of Berlin does this better than any song I've heard from the Man in a long, long time.

'She gets down, like the Wall of Berlin, I come round about a quarter to 10, we just met, at least we pretend, it's so fresh, knock it down, the wall of Berlin'

Just that line alone FEELS like Prince. I think I love this song, I really do.

I wanna be loved to the 9s, so let me cover your ass with this sheet, and baby, you better stay on the beat! Cause you know the Karma Sutra? I can rewrite it. But, with half as many words.

If i had to choose, it would be Colonized mind to be the best...

I guess i'm awaiting the Lotus cd..

Pure poetry.

It sounded out of date in 3121 and now he's made a whole bland song out of it. Genius. Too bad he's only twenty years too late for the impact of the similie. Fitting since he's not done much worth noting beyond play the solo to Purple Rain a million times since the Berlin Wall went down.
No hard feelings.
