Seeing THAT particular scene in Purple Rain much later than '84...stopped me from listening to ANY of his discs until 1994. I judged him on 2 small incidents-I STILL think that bit was completely unnecessary in the movie..it made me think of him less as a "lover" and more as "Mr. SEX I'llDoAnythingForAttention MadonnaSexploitationGuy- But I've changed my mind about him & his music.
