Before you win an argument, you need to be able to follow an argument. Nobody said you were calling for Prince to return to the sound of the 80's. Your inital post stated: u've been crying and ripping ur hair out 4 prince 2 return 2 the days where u loved him the most That is what I've been responding to. If you hurl false claims in the future, do try and keep up with any rebuttals. without sounding as someone else put it on another post"Hatefull", to me most of his music since 89 has sounded not only un-original, but also un-inpired, with a touch of cringeworthyness. sounding like acts that I usto mock.
all that aside, that is just my personal opinion and if you like his current work fine, i hope you dont feel i'm bashing "You" in the prosess, if you take it that way, but it is music by an artist who i do admire and am a fan of. I'm not as articulate as a lot of you guys, thats the best i can do to discribe why i dont like it. To put things in perspective, these are music singles from this decade that i think are good. Plus, some people may think it simply looks cool. And btw, we use language and words just to communicate, to transfer an opinion and meaning from one person to another and as long as you understand what people are trying to tell you, you can't just go and call them "fams" in a negative way. The English invented your language, but your american culture (I suppose you are from the USA. if not, just insert any American) changed some words, so actually it's not correct. Nowadays it's just there and nobody bothers, it's part of America and it is accepted, because People from the UK understand that "honor" means "honour", just as I understand that 2 means "to".

I don't care for why people do it, as I said, the most important thing is the fact that I understand what they are trying to say. Actually when I write a song or a poem, I also use "Prine-bonics", if you want to call it like that, but not because Dear Leader did so (I don't need a leader), but because I think it looks good and kind of mysteriously unpersonal. It's as simple as that. As you can see, on here I don't use them at all and, trust me, even if you would, I'd never do it because of Prince.

And, there is likely a reason you cannot describe why you think something is original or not...It is beacause how a song makes you feel. To me, CB sounds original. And A colonized Mind sounds very original. Love it. One of the things that I adore about Prince is he has and can conjure up so many different styles from rock, to jazz, to R&B/Blues, to poppish and so on. -you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude!

The punctuation argument is a bit trivial. Almost ANY "forum" you visit has a slew of posters that do not use correct punctuation. It is more or less because they are typing to other posters and do not feel it needs to be "correct" or formal. Sure, a lot of folks here do it but it happens everywhere online. Not just in .Org land. As far as Orgers being reprogrammed by their Dear Leader... I have a different outlook on that situation. I don't per-say use "prince" lingo. But, it is almost like anything else you see people do in the world. If you see someone wearing a certain style clothing and you decide to go buy that particular style/brand, does that mean they reprogrammed your thinking? No...it is just a trend. The Prince-bonics is yet another trend-setter, or something similar. At least that is how I see it. Humans by nature follow trends that they like or enjoy. These fans or "fams" are posting on a Prince site. They are more likely to use "Princebonics" here because of where they are posting. I doubt they use it in every day matters not pertaining to Prince. I could see me writing in that manner at work. I would surely be fired. ~chuckles~ [Edited 1/22/09 6:32am] [Edited 1/22/09 7:49am] -you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude!
