Eye sit here at my computer after having read the freedom part 1 and 2 commentaries and eye just want 2 say thank u. Eye will admit that as of late eye have been a little disillusioned by what eye perceived as the clubs lack of caring, but after reading these commentaries it gives me a whole new prospective of how eye view the way the club operates. Thank u for the enlightenment and the renewed faith n the club. Eye think the freedom commentaries should b a daily or weekly event, it would get me 2 visit the site sight more often. This is exactly what eye want to read when eye come 2 the site, eye like this feeling of being empowered by the commentaries. Eye enjoy reading articles that r not only informative but thought provoking and honest/sincere and that is what eye came away with after reading the freedom commentaries. Eye think eye already said this, but it's worth repeating, eye really want 2 see more article like these on the site and as often as possible. Please keep the knowledge flowing because the more we understand, the more informed we are, the better choices we can make.

Why is he so into releasing all this ONA Live crap? There's so much more interesting live material in his vault.

Anyway I guess it's easier to release some live stuff than actually writing a good song and release that as a single.

The ONA recordings that I have were offered to me, either for free or as a trade for a few CD-R's. I only used them as trading material though. After listening to ONA Chicago and LA once or twice it got boring so even though I have recieved a few shows after that, I only skipped through them once and put 'em away. I love live shows, but Prince has only done a few interesting shows in the last 4-5 years. Hopefully that clears things things up a bit for you.

I think there are a few reasons for that:

1 - they expected a studio release
2 - members assumed the titles mention in way or or another would be released through the club
3 - whereas the concert is "raw" the album contains (too many) overdubs

(and God knows maybe they now realize the ONA concerts weren't that good in the first place)

Dude, how to improve the club has been discussed many times and IMO sending out four albums a year is a good start, however the CD's kinda suck this year. BUT I was criticizing Prince (possibly) releasing more live material. I think "we" have gotten enough live stuff for now.
