Some interviewer should ask him if he's been there. I love Egyptian artifacts, myself. I used to go to the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. Interesting and mysterious.

He has Egyptian cotton in his custom-made pillows, throws, bedsheets and manpers so I think he must have done. Unless he orders it online, of course.

I love everything to do with Egyptian stuff. Mummies have always fascinated me,when ever the history channel has a show on it,I watch. I would love to be able to see the pyramids up close, but I don't think i would ever enter one.

But to answer your question,I have no idea if he has or not. smile

Does anybody remember way back in the day when there were rumors of a be-all, end-all concert underneath the pyramids to ring in 1999? I seem to recall something to that effect.

The History channel does not depict the Egytian (Kemetic) people as they were during those times. The History channel shows them as Arabic, not true at all, check your map, Egypt is in Africa.

My mummy says that she sphinx he has!

But from his own mouth comes a clue..."I dont care what Albert E=MC squared said, I would rather know who built the PYRAMIDS!" Well if he had been 2 Egypt he would know it was the fucking egyptions (oh and Charlton Heston and a few hebrew slaves).

I will leave it 2 others to get a line in about Muse and Pharaoh, possibly Cairo and deNILE etc etc etc. Was not Prince Alexandria oh Nevermind?

I'm sure he's been to Egypt. He's 50 years old, wealthy, and does what he wants. Why wouldn't he go to Egypt.

As for whether Egyptians were black or white or arab - they were all of the above.

Ancient Egypt was a melting pot, and they didn't see people in terms of race. You were either Egyptian or you were foreign. That's it. Which is why the colors and races of statues and pantings varies so much.

Egypt was truly race-ignorant. I'm sure it was beautiful smile

Because you can't get Egyptian cotton textiles without actually going to Egypt? confuse

I don't think he said she was an Egyptian princess, but said something like they knew each other in another life and thought there was a connection in Egpyt.

I know lots of people here are bigger Mani fans than Mayte, but honestly, Mayte was such a powerful influence on Prince's music and his character. I miss that.
