Prince LIVE concert videos?

What live Concert videos of there of Prince? I'm talking legal ones, ones that I can purchase?

Is there a list compiled somewhere? It's been too long since I've seen him live. I need a fix wink
I wanna be loved to the 9s, so let me cover your ass with this sheet, and baby, you better stay on the beat! Cause you know the Karma Sutra? I can rewrite it. But, with half as many words.

It blows my mind he didn't make a video of One Night Alone...LIVE!

Well, I'm sure he did. It blows my mind he didn't release it at the same time he did the discs.

Is the Aladdin disc any good? The reviews on Amazon say it's edited oddly and half the show is missing.

It sounds great biggrin
But its highly Edited, the show is way incomplete, The show is too short...
the only bonus / extras u get is a 1 minute promo.. and 1 bonus live performance
Its kinda disapointing..... But it still might make u happy.. confusing i know lol

It is an absolute shame, and probably my biggest gripe with Prince, that he hasn't released a quality concert video.
By quality I mean a well produced, high audio and video of a complete concert such as Coachella.

Aladdin is a pathetic concert dvd unworthy of release by an artist of Prince's stature (not that stature lol) and talent.
He is exactly who we thought he was

The editing is really odd, but the worst thing about it is the sound quality - it's dreadful. A big shame.

i read recently somewhere that P gave Warners a set of his live CD's from several years worth of tours to release as CD's!. Talk about a missed opportunity. That would have been really great.

The CD was never released - some copies were printed and then (mostly) destroyed. But never released.
As for the video, I don't think it was ever available in the US. It was released on VHS in Europe and on laserdisc in Japan. (And unofficially on DVD-R wink )

You could buy it through the NPGMC in the early 2000s. That's how I got my copy.

I've been to one of the shows (in Holland). If you compare the energy and the excitement from the show with the Aladdin DVD, the last one is absolutely shit. bad sound, bad picture, bad editing. its not the (songs from) show in a row, but edited so they all stand 'alone'... the whole live experience is gone. I would say the worst thing from prince i ever spend my money on.

I disliked the length, but otherwise enjoyed it. What isn't to love about him shredding on a Led Zepplin song, and putting his guitar to rest when he's done? Absolute classic to me, even if it was for Whole Lotta Love alone.

It wasn't a download, it was a VHS video - they shipped it out to you. It contained the Mel B interview, a 40min performance from the 1998 Cafe de Paris aftershow, and the promo videos for "Beautiful Strange" and "Come On".
