I just got the CD of this and much to my dismay when I tried to put it into iTunes directory it came up as one long program. Which could be an interesting listen but I want to be able to go to each track.

I think the release in the UK was tracked and later some US versions were tracked as well.

Don't know how you would tell at 1st glance, but many people selling the disc advertise which version it is.

it is fairly easy to download on torrent sites a version people have cut up.

of course, you could do it yourself in iTunes

Now, I can't see paying $20 for Lovesexy when it can be had for $.79 on some sites, but there it is.

A free and simple editing program such as Audacity should do the trick.

If you're after an official CD that's tracked, then just buy a new copy from any
UK or German based store (this also applies to almost every other European
country as well).

All UK and German Lovesexy CDs have been tracked since the early 90s, so
as long as you buy a new copy it'll definitely be tracked. (If you buy it
secondhand, then you run the risk of getting an old un-tracked version).

iTunes can't do this kind of thing. You can rip and chop the .wav file up in any audio editing software package (there are plenty of free ones).


I'm still surprised at how often the OP's question comes up. Like Boris says, tracked copies of the album have been standard now for a very long time in Europe. If you buy a copy from say, Amazon.co.uk or .de, it will be tracked.

Honestly - if you own the CD already, it's 100% legal to download the material already tracked if you're so inclined. You've already paid your price of admission, afterall.
