My vocal coach is currently teaching this very lesson to me
and I find it sooooo fascinating, when we do warm ups each note correlates to a color, a chakra, and the location of the chakra. I am going to compare my tapes to this list and see if it matches and also added the Do Re Mi to my lesson | |

Hear, "Rainbow Children Rise," in your mind right now...
I can really feel the spiritual motion of that elevation...audibly and energetically. "Muse 2 the Pharoah," is exceptional at this level of understanding which I cannot really express in explanation. If U feel it...U know it... I don't know if a xylophone is ever used on the album or if it's strictly electric piano. The beginning of "Digital Garden," sounds like steel drumz 2 me....Anyway...U can feel these notes rise and fall beautifully because of the clarity. It's almost as if...a note can fall into an energy center within your Chakra system...and Prince has it right on...At least that is what I believe that I feel especially during this album. [b] I believe music feeds and grows into the soul what's already there in the individual, whether good/bad - positive/negative. There are forces at work. It definently touches the depths of our emotions. Influence? In some ways yes, but theres always a root cause within the person that causes the effect. When it's devine by God, then it touches through the "spirit", which is a supernatural power that can only be felt from God. | |

If one believes that music can uplift the spirit and inspire to do great things, then I think it is fair to ask... In the opposite (but same) respect, can negative music influence evil and drive people to do terrible things? i.e., suicide, school shootings, terrorist attacks, etc...

? I agree with what Marrakech said...and although Dave1992 isn't on this thread...many of his viewpoints would fall into place here. I believe that over a period of time if U are consistetly drawn 2 sound that is not as healthy as other sounds...that it could contribute to the aggravated spirit. Well, sometimes certain songs can put me in a friendly mood. A song like "Can't Stop This Feeling I Got" makes me want to go around skipping and hugging everyone.
And certain classical music puts me in a relaxed state. I can actually feel a physical change when certain music is played. Some music can even cause the physical action of a tear being released from the eye. So, if that is the case... And good art & music should be able to affect different moods (whether happiness, sadness, anger, laughter, etc). Then couldn't certain combinations of notes and words cause a physical reaction in a negative way? | |
