prince's "dear mr man" vs ben harper's "excuse me mr" yeah that's right, another vs thread 
"i've seen enough to know that i have seen too much" 
from the first time i heard prince's "dear mr man" it reminded me of this ben harper song. somehow it sound/feels so much like this song that i can't help but think prince used it at least for inspiration. prince commented positively on ben harper before, on one occasion he even said ben harper makes him want to play the blues for a living. i doubt if prince could come up with a worse/more weird video than ben did though. damn, that video is weird. but the song is great. love the break in the middle, love the lyrics. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
