Eye will admit that as of late eye have been a little disillusioned by what eye perceived as the clubs lack of caring, but after reading these commentaries it gives me a whole new prospective of how eye view the way the club operates. Thank u for the enlightenment and the renewed faith n the club. Eye think the freedom commentaries should b a daily or weekly event, it would get me 2 visit the site sight more often. This is exactly what eye want to read when eye come 2 the site, eye like this feeling of being empowered by the commentaries. Eye enjoy reading articles that r not only informative but thought provoking and honest/sincere and that is what eye came away with after reading the freedom commentaries. Eye think eye already said this, but it's worth repeating, eye really want 2 see more article like these on the site and as often as possible. Please keep the knowledge flowing because the more we understand, the more informed we are, the better choices we can make."

Does anyone else think this is a totally imaginary email whipped up by the staff to make us think there are actually people out there that gullible and stupid?

But just to double check, was it anyone on here that wrote this email? I would assume if the person is that obsessed they would certainly visit the org too.

No, someone who works at NPGMC definately wrote this to cheer up the Boss.

OR- Its very sarcastic- espically when they say "please can we have one everyday"- Good grief!

They're this:-: far from running a brainwashing service!

Nah, it's real. Just read a few threads here on prince.org and you'll see some people really are that "gullible and stupid".

Right, I've worked it out.

Prince has spent a great deal of time learning mass hypnosis.
You go to one of his concerts and, whilst you think you're hearing fantastic music (and you are!) you are also the victim of some subliminal hypnosis technique which only works on certain people in the audience.

Some of those people post here, on the Org.
One of those people wrote that 'emale from a member'.

Be careful you're not the next victim.

worship Hail Prince! worship

No one is forcing you to read this post either or respond to it, but you chose to speak your mind just like I chose to speak my mind about the club.

This isnt a one way message board with nothing but happy thoughts.

I am sure some NPGMC member submitted this.
I did not, but there is something I notice about the comment Tom made and the others...
You strongly disagree with this person, so you assume he/she has to be "stupid" or gullible.

People are simply different, that's all.

Some people are willing to go the extra mile to try to see something positive.
Is this sinful? I guess in your opinion, it is stupid.

But these are the same people who will give you another chance when you mess up.
These are the same ones whose qualities make you seek them out
when you experience difficulties.
These are the ones who, having only a little will share what they have...
and still have a pleasant attitude.

I, for one, am glad that these kind of people are in the world.
More than once I have benefitted from their kindness.
I am not saying that they are the only ones that are kind
but, they show extraordinary kindness even when it is not due.

Rather than assume that their e-mail to NPG denotes gullibility and stupidity,
I prefer to say that it reveals a readiness to encourage and upbuild.
At a time when the PEOPLE (sometimes I think we forget that these are human beings)
at Paisely are probably feeling intense pressure from Prince on one side and from members on the other,
I am sure this e-mail was like a cool drink of water to a man in a desert.
IMHO
So...how's everybody doing? smile

If you don't complain when you recieve a poor service, it will not improve in the future.
Everyone has the right to their own perceived opinion, and those who perceive a poor quality of service should have the medium in which to complain. Just like those who are satisfied should have the place to give their approval.

yeah, but they had to become a member in the first place to be wronged by the club in the end. i'll be generous to the club members and ask "how would they know they were going to get ripped off?" they joined it fully expecting to get what they were promised. the bitching can't come until after they've joined and then been ripped off.

then again, i can't, in good faith be that generous to the club and ask that questino ("how would they know they were going to get ripped off?") because they damn well should have known it by now.

I think most people would rather be a happy non complaining member that a sour naysayer all the time. I think that for the most reasons of complaint you really have to look in prince's camp and how they run their business.

Thank you,
I don't come here often for that reason. To be called gullible and stupid because we don't agree with the negativity being shared here. I, for another, enjoyed the post as well, regardless of who wrote it. It was positive and expressed how I feel about the club. It is worth it to me. I have been a fan for over 20 years and back when we had no access and had to scour underground shops and beg, borrow and steal information and new music I was happy with every tid bit, every crumb. Yes, I'll admit I was, still am obsessed with the man and his music. I do not personally agree with everything he says and does however, I do like the way he expresses himself and the way he shares with us. I love his music. I love that I can find something from him to match every mood, every genre of music I may want to hear. I love that I have discovered new artists through my love of his art, artists that I would have never listened to but for the openmindedness that has come from being a fan. I truly wish that the young/new/unsatisfied/vocal fan base that is here could hear from more of us, the older ones. You truly don't know how good you have it. When I was in college to find another fan was a real treat, we used to schedule time in the music/video rooms and play his music and his videos. We use to analyze and dissect the music searching for the true meaning, because he wasn't talking outside of the music then. I remember the thrill of hearing him speak when I saw Purple Rain the 1st time. I remember the celebrations held by the controversy magazine fan club and the first time I was give priority because I was a fan. We, the old fans, the lifelong followers are in heaven now. We have access and it has been worth the wait. I paid out more than $100 a month buying magazines and driving all over the place to find music and people and pictures. Please don't spoil it for others who are happy, please remember the love and peace that others feel when dealing with this man and his music. Please try and remember why you are here in the first place and if you are truly not happy and not satisfied please do not belittle those who are.

Oh no no, Thank you! I totally agree with all you have said. I for one don't have too much access to the internet or time to be surfing and searching these days.

I have been studying the man, his antics and of course the music for a good 9 years (since I was 14) now, and I am still at that point where I go around scavenging in dusty old wrecka stows in search of a rogue Vanity 6 LP, or spending stupid amounts of money whenever I come across a live CD or video. And hell, I still haven't met a fellow fam!

I managed to find Under the Cherry Moon in a used CD store for $1.99! Needless to say I was elated.

Hell, I still check out used book stores for a back-issue magazine article or review that I have not read and/or copied yet. (by the way, does ANYONE know what the date of ESQUIRE MAGAZINE that Prince did all that Versace modelling? I've been looking for that issue for 7 stupid years)

I don't understand the people whining because they paid $100 a year and got a song they don't particularly like (amongst like 60 plus other ones that are really great) or did not get a song that the poor folks at Paisley Park were told to type was coming out. I too envy your brattiness.

(to everyone:)

Prince is a flail-case. Get used to it.
When have you ever known him to stick with one single idea or course of action without a second thought?
I for one have Never.

Do you realise how boring being a fam would be if he DID do that? The songs would always be the same, your precious Purple Rain would not have been made... pretty damn boring in my opinion.

Peace and be Wild!
