I've met loads of Prince fans but only really through us all being Michael Jackson fans too. I knew a couple of people at college who were just Prince fans, but in every day adult life since, I've not come across one yet  | |

Nahhhhh...it couldnt be that I think it's more a case of music being a bigger topic of discussion and something people have as their main interest when you're at school and college.
That and loads of people just dismissing certain bands and artists like Prince because they think "oh, they're weird/used to be good"  | |

When ever i say to other people (or strangers that i meet)and we talk about music we name obvious genius's like Hendrix..then i mention I like Prince and they give me tat same reply...hes strange but hey he does have beautiful women lol. Especially for my age (17) its hard to find people around that dont listen to that Soulja boy/50 cent shit

Last fall my mother-in-law came to visit us. When we picked her up at the airport, we had a Prince CD in. My husband had said that she was the one who got him to like Prince (early 80's). So she and I got to talking. She goes on to tell me all these fantastic stories of all the concerts she has been too and the musicians she has met. Unfortunately, not Prince. But, I learned that she was wild. She met James Brown, Teddy Pendegras and a bunch others. She was aggressive and would either force her way back stage or bat her eyes at someone to get somewhere she wasn't suppose to. I am sooooo taking her with me to a Prince concert!!!
