Prince mention in January 16 Entertainment Weekly #8 on the Hit List:
Prince says his new music will be "nasty, but it's not dirty" He's also bowing a line of "Prince Chips" that are greasy without being delicious.

that sounds better I think what they're saying by "greasy without being delicious" is that, by Prince's description, the album will lack what the general public liked most about Prince: the dirtiness. Prince: new album will be nasty but not dirty EW: that's like chips that are greasy but not delicious i.e., we put up with the greasiness to enjoy the deliciousness.
