creating one more album out of the extra npgmc tracks?

damn that's hard lol

01. purple house
02. breathe
03. madrid 2 chicago
04. cybersingle
05. when will we b paid?
06. van gogh
07. my medallion
08. contest song
09. jukebox wa heartbeat
10. one song

i'm tinkering with this right now. i don't want to include any songs
that are from the npgmc but obviously from much earlier like Splash,
Mad, Funky Design.

there's Habibi which could be included but that doesn't really flow
with anything imo.

are there any songs i'm missing here? like Purple House which wasn't
an npgmc release but was on the Power of Soul tribute to Hendrix.
there weren't any other occasional releases at that time were there?
i think the bamboozled soundtrack came out round this time with the
track radical man but that's on slaughterhouse.

i'd like to replace the contest song with something else and perhaps
it could be replaced with the "emanstrumental" that sounds like it's
an instrumental version of The Holy River. but that's reaching back
too far imo.

Van Gogh is probably quite a bit earlier than any of the other tracks
but than again Slaughterhouse did have Hypnoparadise which came from
the same sessions iirc.

urgh. i'm gonna need 2 more songs to make this into a decent album lol

although, i could also pluck one or two mediocre tracks off Chocolate
and replace them with one song, purple house and when will we b paid,
making that one a fucking ace prince disc:

01. when eye lay my hands on u
02. supercute
03. purple house
04. underneath the cream
05. vavoom
06. sex me sex me not
07. when will we b paid?
08. the dance
09. gamillah
10. u make my sun shine
11. one song

forgive me for taking up your time with this but i just love
to play around with all that npgmc material.

i guess i would have liked it better if prince had "created"
one more album and pulled together most of the loose stuff,
which now doesn't really have any place to go.

i've listened to this twice in a row now [i know that would be hard labour
for some of you guys lol] and it flows surprisingly well. that material is
quite fluid in a sense that you can pick and pull from those songs and you
always come up with something that fits quite well. wether that makes the
material good or not remains another question, lol.

I include "Paradigm"(w/George Clinton) and "Waiting Room"(No Doubt) in my NPGMC tracks, since you're including "Purple House" you might also include those?

what is "western song?" the contest song is an uptempo
The Work/She Gets Her Way kind of groove. it's got some
guitars and kind of live sounding drums and all.

the holy river instrumental was released simply titled
"instrumental" in one of the npgmc monthly instalments
along with hypnoparadise and van gogh iirc.
