Well, some reports now suggest the sheer speculation on this thread could become reality.

I'm extremely excited about this prospect now.....

We have speculated and hints have been given over the last couple of years that all the Youtube shenanigans, HQ's video section being halted etc was so that Prince would ultimately be in complete control of his own art. I'm sure in an ideal world, we would be able to access all clips, TV appearances, concert footage from througout his career on his official website. If he pulls that off it will be amazing.

In practical terms though, we know he does not technically "own" (for example) TV show footage but he has gone further than any artist I can think of in giving that impression and maybe even arguing that point "behind the scenes".

I really do hope that this TV station, video archive is career encompassing and not just stuff from the last couple of years or so (Coachella, Oscar party type stuff). Let's not get our hopes up too much though as Prince has mostly always been about what he is doing NOW and not fond of reliving/re-releasing his PAST music.
