Maybe the person in that chat was Mani, his ex-wife. She moved to MPLS to be with him and her husband knew about it, because, well, her husband WAS him.

YES! that was her! what a mess she caused up in here sometimes. If it's who I'm thinking of I met her at the nude gigs in Camden, went to the pub with her. She's black and funky and I am very sure you see her in the RAVE 2000 DVD audience at some point. She seemed pretty cool if a little obsessed with her make up and looks!.

i was a fan that moved here while in the music business. i was managing several groups and running my own label. We were the kings of lil old champaign illinois LOL and chicago was dead in the early 90's. Anyway, at the time source magazine used to do regional reports and a writer from minneapolis got our tape and put us on blast up here. we recieved more airplay in MPLS. than in our hometown so i arranged a mini college tour ( St. Cloud, Winona State etc) that landed us at Glam Slam to close. We loved the scene and moved here a month later and although we came apart at our own hands 5 years later i never regreted the move. We met Levi before we got off the highway, and by the end of the year we were hangin at paisley on the regular. We were introduced to him once because he was interested in a 13 yr. old rapper we were producing and it was hilarious- he was in his lollypop phase and we were too young and drunk to keep quiet. I have tons of stories and memories and i think i had the best of both worlds i moved here as a "player" and a fan. None of my buddies have left, MPLS is slow but hey..i've had my fun trust me. [Edited 1/9/09 9:21am] .. I figured this was most likely the best reason 2 move 2 Mpls: 4 business. Hell, I can move from South Florida back 2 ChiTown and take my gig with me and work from home. I'm waitin' on the wifey 4 that move. Cool lil story. Peace ... & Stay Funky ...
